I suppose the app will boost the GPU frequency, at the cost of more heat and less battery.

That’s what I understand from the description too.
And that’s fine with me.. better to have less battery than useless brick (for games).

eg. better benchmark values?
I’m just curious if this update really makes sense..

so how’s the update going? was it meant for any x98 series or only for specific model?

I have the X98 Plus II (C2D4) and I tried installing the update from both TWRP and from the Teclast App itself. No new app appeared. I then unzipped it and installed the Fastmode apk but if I open it it says I’m already in Fast mode. I haven’t noticed a change in the games I play that do struggle a bit.
