I don’t want to start a new thread so I’ll ask here: Can someone tell me if the i9 has a hall sensor? so that when it is closed up against the keyboard cover it sleeps and when opened up again it turns back on. I’m asking because I don’t think it was mentioned in the review.
I just received my Cube i9 and type cover keyboard ordered during the sale (ordered March 31, arrived in central Illinois USA April 21). I can confirm that when the keyboard is closed, the tablet screen goes blank and Win 10 goes to sleep (which was the default setting for “Change what closing the lid does”).
April 25, 2016 at 4:38 pm #35020I have just received my cube i9 ordered during the sale. It came via Singapore Post and no taxes to pay in Spain. The cover keyboard is coming from a different supplier, as I wanted Spanish keys printed. Looking forward to have it.

That’s great to hear, I’m from Spain too and was worried about taxes. When did you buy yours and when did it ship? I bought mine the last day of the sale(waited for the reviews to be online) and it shipped the 7th but the tracking hasn’t updated since the 11th.
September 20, 2016 at 7:51 am #50213Just a word of caution for those looking for a usb-c to hdmi/usb3.0 out accessory
– I had purchased such an adapter from an Ebay Seller called “9enjoyshopping“, this device here on late June.
somebody in here or xda had posted a link to it at some time, so I thought it would work.– Since it had not arrived 40 days later, I opened a Paypal Dispute, to get a refund.
– The Seller then Claimed that he shipped a second unit to me, but did not provide any proof of shipment, saying that the sent it with no tracking.
– I felt embarrassed I might end up with two of these units, so I let the deadline to dispute escalation slide, effectively closing the case, without getting a refund
– Very soon after that – too soon for a Supposed second unit to arrive from China (under 10 days) I received one of the adapters.
…I tested it, but it did not work….not only did not output hdmi from the Cube i9, but it even failed to transfer the power that the tablet provides through its USB port, to a HDD drive I connected to the adapter.
…basically the adapter was useless, since it couldn’t even be used as a port converter for USB-C to USB 3.0– I contacted the Seller and provided video evidence for the problem, but he kept evading, never refunding me.
– Of course no second unit ever arrived, the Seller had probably lied. And he did not sent a replacement either, after proving to him the adapter did not work
…moral of the story
1) Do not buy from “9enjoyshopping” (same store as “newfrog”)
2) Don’t ever trust overseas Seller to behave responsibly, if they are not obliged to do so.September 20, 2016 at 9:05 am #50220one guy on 4pda said this cable works up to 4k 30hz:

I purchased the aforementioned one after somebody here, I believe, argued it works.
By the way, Notebookcheck.net has a fresh review of the docking keyboard CDK07 of the Cube i9
http://www.notebookcheck.net/Cube-i9-CDK07-Docking-Keyboard-Review.174490.0.htmlSeptember 25, 2016 at 5:40 pm #50572After spending some time with the tablet I am seriously disappointed.
1) The left speaker is really buzzing, especially if the volume is anywhere over 30% and when viewing video it usually has to be much higher
2) The USB 3.0 port on my tablet does not actually support full usb 3.0 speeds….it has a limit close to 35-37mb/s max
I tested an external HDD on both the USB 3.0 port and the USB-C port and the results are
– USB 3.0 Port: approximately 37mb/s
– USB-C Port: almost doubles to 67mb/s
This is disappointing.3) The Samsung 32GB MicroSD card that I had tested and found to be working on the previous i9 units I received, no longer works on this one…
…it has the 5.11 bios, by the way…4) 4K read speeds of the SSD are between 9-11mb/s, while on the previous units it was 20-35mb/s
5) Wifi is significantly weaker….will be 2-4mb/s slower nine out ten times I test it and its not as steady either….this again in comparison to the previous units too.
The Cube i9 seems to have lots of quality issues, i.e. divergences per unit
– screen defects
– speaker issues
– lower wifi speeds / lower signal
– USB 3.0 port speed
– MicroSD issuesI am quite discouraged from trying out Cube again…don’t know what’s up with Cube or with the i9 tablet production, but I won’t be choosing them for my next tablet.
I don’t want to sell it and let somebody else carry the burden, and I have already paid ~20€ to send the tablet back to China the last time (the first time the cost was covered by Paypal Refunded Returns)…
If I spend another 15-20€ for the shipping, will I be receiving a proper functioning tablet then? I am not at all confident
This is strike 3 out of 3…
– First had screen defects
– Second was heavily used and worn
– Third is having speaker / USB 3.0 port / MicroSD / Wifi issuesCan’t really put my frustration into words…I spent a full year’s points on this tablet too…

I have written quite a bit in other posts about the mindf@#% that is usb type-c – check out the i7 book accesories post.Trying to get chargers and cables that are in spec is a nightmare.
Second. Is the buzzing occuring when plugged in? That would be an earthing issue. Not unusual with crappy chargers to inject noise.
Third. Usb 3.0 speed – I wonder if it is poorly shielded. I have an asus router that gives similar speeds because on that model they forgot shield the connector’ I think some copper shielding tape does the trick. I have the i7 book and my usb 3.o speeds are up to 150.
Maybe you got a bit of a dud.
On the SD front I’d guess it’s a driver issue. People talk about this on the i7 book and when driver updated problem sorted.
September 26, 2016 at 9:14 am #50771No, the buzzing sound occurs notwithstanding whether charging or discharging. I actually think it is more audible when unplugged.
I can’t say about the shielding. Not eager to open the backplate if I am going to return the tablet.
With the same exactly Windows Version, i.e. same driver version, the previous two units had no trouble recognizing the MicroSD card.
This is just a mess.
the only thing I actually like about this tablet now is the small gap between the outer plastic/glass and the actual screen…it reduces reflections significantly, also the somewhat reduced glossiness of the display contributes to that
