Onda V919 Air CH announced, 9.7″ Atom Cherry Trail Tablet

Onda has today announced their latest tablet coming soon, the Onda V919 Air CH. It’s a 9.7″ 4:3 Cherry Trail X5 Z8500 Atom tablet. The tablet will ship with a 64GB eMMC and 4GB of Ram. No other specs announced, but I’m sure it’s going to be the same as always, Wireless N 150mbps single band 2.4Ghz (boo hoo) BT 4.0.

And no word on HDMI out or USB ports, but it’s safe to assume it’s at least got a micro HDMI out and USB 2.0. But I hope it has a micro USB 3.0 or even better Type-C. So a competitor to the Teclast X98 Pro, same specs, but with a different and HTC’ish look to it.

No word on the release date or pricing.

So it begins we are now going to see all the main Chinese brands releasing their own Cherry Trail tablets. Now this just that leaves Chuwi, Ramos and Cube to announce their own new models based on the new Cherry Trail SoC. Chuwi are rumored to be announcing something soon, maybe even two new CT models this month 10.6″ and 8″. Personally I’m interested to see what Cube will do, maybe they are sitting back and waiting this round out due to the increased heat the X5 Atom’s have?

Let’s see if Onda has improved in quality over the disastrous Onda V919 Core M I got.
