Now and then I do review a few Chinese mobile phones, not just 100% tablets. The Doogee F5 is a new mobile that was recently released, with a MediaTek MT6753 1.3Ghz OctaCore processor. What’s not so common however is the phone’s price and the specs you get.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=It’s only $139 at Gearbest, but comes with a full metal frame, 3GB of Ram, Fingerprint sensor, dual sim support, MicroSD card support.
Performance of the F5 is good, nothing stellar and it has a nice 1080p screen the Mali T720 GPU can run most games at fluidly. The battery was good for around 7 and half hours in PCMark test for Android. But of course at this price point there has to some area where Doogee cut corners? Well, it seems the camera sensor and lens. The 13 MP Samsung sensor is okay in good lighting, but the autofocus and lens is the big let down of the F5.
The loudspeaker is also a little quiet, and I couldn’t get on 4G (Might have been a network provider issue here in Spain)
I cover all this and some much more in the review. But still not bad for such a cheap mobile setting new standards at this price point.
