Doogee F5 Video Review and Camera Samples

Doogee F5 Video Review and Camera Samples

Now and then I do review a few Chinese mobile phones, not just 100% tablets. The Doogee F5 is a new mobile that was recently released, with a MediaTek MT6753 1.3Ghz OctaCore processor. What’s not so common however is the phone’s price and the specs you get.

It’s only $139 at Gearbest, but comes with a full metal frame, 3GB of Ram, Fingerprint sensor, dual sim support, MicroSD card support.

Performance of the  F5 is good, nothing stellar and it has a nice 1080p screen the Mali T720 GPU can run most games at fluidly. The battery was good for around 7 and half hours in PCMark test for Android. But of course at this price point there has to some area where Doogee cut corners? Well, it seems the camera sensor and lens. The 13 MP Samsung sensor is okay in good lighting, but the autofocus and lens is the big let down of the F5.

The loudspeaker is also a little quiet, and I couldn’t get on 4G (Might have been a network provider issue here in Spain)

I cover all this and some much more in the review. But still not bad for such a cheap mobile setting new standards at this price point.

  1. Thanks for the review, Chris. I am thinking of buying a smartphone from Doogee F5 and Bluboo Xtouch, but don’t know which is better. Watch the hands on comparison video https://goo.gl/dsmGtp, and give me advice.

  2. What’s the price now? If you like the mid-range phone, oukitel k6000 pro Usd 149.99: http://goo.gl/BAozHg

  3. This phone will only work with 2G: GSM 850/900/1800/1900MHz 3G: WCDMA 900/2100MHz 4G:FDD-LTE B1/B3/B7/B8/B20

Based on reviews i read this phone has loads of issues like camera pic quality, dead pixels, GPS positioning, WIFI & LTE connectivity, battery drain &charging issues, has no gyroscope and yeah those sharp edges!!!

    touchscreen works fine?

    • Still going fine and the touch screen. Yes the edges are sharp unless I sand them round 🙂

  5. If this is up to Dooee’s usual quality it should stop working in about a months time. Wouldn’t touch one of their phones if you paid me, did you buy this from Gearbest or directly in Spain?

  6. I have Doogee Titans 2, and I’m really happy with the phone. While it is 6582 with 1/8G, but it is very snappy. And Vertu design simply kix’arse!
