Cube iWork 3X – Apollo Lake Tablet With 12.3″ Surface Pro 4 Screen

At Cube’s press event, the Cube iWork3X was also mentioned, a 12.3 inch 2-in-1 tablet with Microsoft’s prized top-tier tablet screen in it.

First we got the Surface Pro 2 screen in the i7 Book, then the Surface Pro 3 screen (Chuwi Hi12), and this year the Surface Book screen (Chuwi Hi13, Cube Thinker i35) and now the Surface Pro 4 screen is in the hands of the Chinese tablet manufacturers. So it’s no longer exclusive to Microsoft? And they don’t care because the Surface Pro 5 is coming? Anyway, this is a good thing as an ex-Surface Pro 4 owner having that screen in more tech is going to be great. More on the screen here.

The new Cube iWork3X was announced in China.

Cube are also jumping on the 6GB RAM bandwagon like Teclast and Jumper and this tablet will be running an Apollo Lake N3450. Other important specs included 128GB SSD and Wireless AC. It seems they’re listening, people feed up with 4GB, while it might not be 8GB, 6GB is certainly better than 4GB right? My guess is another two 3GB LPDDR3 Samsung RAM modules in dual channel.

It has a kickstand, optional keyboard and comes (unfortunately) in white and silver colour scheme like the Cube Mix Plus. No idea on when it will be released or if that great screen will support an active stylus.

Cube iWork 3X Specs:

Official specs will be here once updated.

The price:

No word on the release date, or if that screen is fully laminated and supports a stylus! I will post more info when I find out, but I will definitely be reviewing this interesting tablet.
