FNF iFive Pro2 – 9.7″ First Impressions & Unboxing Video

Second FNF iFive tablet for me, just like the iFive Mini 4S the build quality is great (The tablet) very well finished, nice textured leather-like rear. It’s got four speakers, they sound a little better than the smaller 7.9″ version, a little louder but still distort a lot when pushed to 100% volume. The screen is premium, typical IGZO 9.7″ 2048 x 1536 screen, very nice. 264 PPI and looks great. The glass over the top of it isn’t fully laminated but almost looks as if it is. The gap is under 1mm, very small. It’s $226 over at Bangood.com using their coupon e9df7e in the listing.

The keyboard is okay for the size constraints it has, not the same quality as the keyboard but decent. Not wonderful to type on, as it’s cramped. The touchpad is small, it does the job, but it’s not great. The keys feel plasticity and have a bit of noise to them. It does in with magnets and a pogo port, this is good. No need for Bluetooth a battery or charging it and it’s much better than using the onscreen keyboard that’s for sure! The outer material is a fake leather, with magnets to hold it closed.

The fingerprint reader works well and something unexpected is it’s dual OS, Phoenix OS based on Android 6.0 and then stock Android 6.0. The bootup speed and the switching OS is super quick, each OS has it’s own 32GB eMMC. Haven’t seen that before and it works well. I’m working towards the review of this one, but first I need get Google Play installed unfortunately, it’s not loaded on the ROM’s.
