Cube T10 4G Android 6.0 Tablet Review – Better than the Teclast 98 Octacore

The third and final of the cheaper tablets I’ve finally got around to looking at. The Cube T10, it’s similar to the Teclast 98 Octacore as it supports LTE and 3G. But only a single SIM. It’s powered by a low-end MediaTek 8763 with a max turbo of 1.3Ghz. (8 x Cortex A53 cores) the GPU is a Mali-T720 MP3 and it has 2GB of RAM.

The build is a step up over the Cube IPlay 10 and Teclast 98 Octacore I reviewed, metal rear with plastic front and antenna strip. 4G works fine and I can make calls with it too, using it like a phone. However, the supported bands will be hit and miss outside of China. I’m lucky as Spain supports the common Chinese LTE and 3G bands. The screen is an IPS 16:10 ratio, 10.1-inchs. A very common screen with 1920 x 1200 resolution. It’s bright and the colors are vibrant enough on it and the gap of the non-laminated display isn’t so bad, around 1mm.

Android 6.0 is now dated of course, but the ROM is bloat free stock which is great. Ultimately like the other models with this chipset, the GPU is just too weak for demanding games like Modern Combat 5. Playing it with frame dips into the lower 10’s is just too slow to be enjoyable. But lighter games can be played and the ROM and other application performance is fine as long as you don’t need a powerful GPU. Below is my video review, which covers a lot more including battery life and the Antutu score.

And costing $184 it’s more than the iPlay 10 and 98 Octacore.  Thanks to Juan J for point out that with coupon, 200-50 It’s now $151, that price is a bit easier to swallow! While it is better than both of them, it’s just not really worth it, unless you must have 4G!

This one I got from Gearbest here.
