Jumper EZBook Yoga – 11.6″ Gemini Lake Convertible

So the first Gemini Lake powered laptops and convertibles are now appearing. This one looks to be the first from Jumper, and as I suspected it’s only got 4GB of DDR4 RAM due to the fact DDR4 is much more expensive. The new Celeron N4100 will be the SoC replacing the Celeron N3450, it supports 2400Mhz DDR4, has double the cache at 4Mb Vs 2Mb, supports HDMI 2.0 spec, 4 lanes Vs 3. And clocked 200Mhz higher with a max turbo of 2.4Ghz. It’s still quadcore like the Apollo Lake and the GPU has just really been renamed. It’s exactly the same as the Apollo Lake Intel 500 HD iGPU the only change is it can now output 4k60hz max. But with that faster RAM, it should perform somewhat better.

More details on Intel’s website about the new Celeron N4100.

As for the EZbook Yoga, It looks a little like the old smaller Voyo Vbook. It has an 11.6-inch 1080p touchscreen, Type-C port with charging, MicroSD, SSD hatch and Windows 10 Home that runs on a 64GB eMMC. A fingerprint reader in the touchpad and a 9000mAh battery. No stylus support it seems?

What concerns me is no full-sized USB 3.0 ports and a plastic body? Also the price – $499 is quite can an ask for 4GB of DDR4 RAM and a Celeron N4100. You can get a Core M3 with 8GB that is similar for around $50 less. The Teclast F6 Pro.
