Hardware buttons

Hey everyone,

When I used my X98 Plus (the windows 10 only model) again today after not using it a few days, I noticed that suddenly the hardware buttons stopped having their usual functions. For example the volume up button no longer functions as a volume button, but as a screenshot button. The volume down button now functions as a ctrl+alt+delete, opening the task manager menu. I was wondering if someone else is having the same problems as I do, or that someone might have a solution?

Hi, I have same problem with volume buttons. Down volume button functions as ctrl+alt+canc and volume up doesn’t function. My model is x98 plus dual boot. Any solution?

If you press power and the volume buttons they function as screenshot and ctrl-alt-del. I wonder if the power button is jammed slightly, I don’t know why it wouldn’t just turn off though.

Perhaps I managed to solve button problems. I held the power button pressed until shutdown. When I switched on, volume buttons returned normally.

same problem with A5C6. Also I have solved by holding the power button, but I had to reboot 3 times because everything back to normal
