Cool, looking forward to it. I’m sure you’ll be better at fixing the Play Store issues. Truth is I just don’t have the time to waste on it, no doubt it’s the build prop lacks ro.device that Google servers understand as you mentioned. But I didn’t root it and didn’t try.

Yes please do, maybe they resolved the USB 3 power issue. Did you get a Micro USB 2.0 USB OTG cable or MicoUSB 3.0 in the box? This could be clue..

Sorry I’m unable to check this, my usb 3.0 drive use it’s own external power supply, and with included otg cable it’s running only at usb 2.0 speed.

So are there any other issues with this tablet other than the non powered micro USB ports?

I’ve nailed it down to this and X98 Plus for a good thermals, price and size.

The Teclast was my 1st choice for the battery life recently but the micro SD card reader issue bothers me.

Are there any other weird hardware/driver issues or bugs with this tablet?

Working fine for me, but have you seen the review? The cameras are average and the speakers aren’t nearly as loud as they should be.
