Can apps be written to the SD Card?
You say that if we have previously used toolbox we only need to flash the boot.img from the archive. Does this mean if we have previously used your root toolbox?
Downloading now!
Thanks
October 22, 2016 at 2:12 am #55388Here is the procedure explained with a bit of detail:
Download both the toolbox and the ROM from above.
Extract the toolbox, but leave the ROM as a zip file.
Copy the ROM to and external SD on your tablet if you are doing a complete wipe, or you could use the internal SD if you don’t mind leaving files left over from the previous stock ROM.
In the toolbox folder execute steps 1,2,3 and 5. You can skip 1 and 2 if you have already installed Machete’s root from another post.
** If you get the boot screen enabling the selection of Android or Windows, DO NOT skip the countdown by clicking OK. You will bypass the startup commands **
Boot into TWRP recovery. There is a way to do this with buttons, but I’ve always found this difficult. Easier to open cmd.exe and execute “adb reboot recovery” (without the quotes). Depending on your PATH, you may need to switch to the extracted toolbox \BIN folder, or just run ADB_shell.bat.
In TWRP recovery, select wipe and wipe using the default options. I also chose the advanced wipe and wiped the internal SD so no carry over files were kept from the previous installed apps. You may choose to leave this.
In TWRP select install and the location where you stored the ROM zip. Swipe install and wait.
Reboot and wait.
After about 5 minutes you will have a new version of Android on your tablet.
Profit!
October 22, 2016 at 2:28 am #55389Machetekills, can we update SuperSU on this ROM, or do we block it like in your previous toolbox?
October 26, 2016 at 6:47 pm #55759Hey, Machetekills I owe you quite a bit (Remix OS 2.0 fully ported). I tested your rom, some issues with Google services, related apps crashing and force closing, could not update either. I think repacking with x80 v1.09 stock files for services will fix this. Thanks for all your work.

October 28, 2016 at 8:16 pm #55910Mark
In this case, it is possible to flash the boot.img from twrp.
unzip it and flash the boot imageOctober 28, 2016 at 8:23 pm #55912To support this firmware, I will not.
I’m going to port CM12.1 and make a lot of developments into it.

November 8, 2016 at 2:32 am #56573Machetete,
Install was fine no problems. Just restoring apps now.
I think you should start another post for this as it will be popular and should have it’s own title.
No bugs so far, but just started using it.
Well done!
