MicroUSB connector broken

Hi, the micro USB connector of my tablet is broken and a repair service told me they can not find the part. Can someone tell me the model microusb connector using the chuwi vi10?

@Kris, it looks standard to me. A picture of the pins at the back (under the metal shell?) would confirm this but you probably don’t need a replacement anyway. The solder joints to the pins on these surface mount connectors tend to break after a while. Get a strong magnifier and decent light and examine the pins on the connector where they are soldered to the PCB for minute cracks.

You could probably fix the issue be reflowing the solder on the pins at the back with a soldering iron (DO NOT USE A HEATGUN/PAINTSTRIPPER, it looks easier but it isn’t you’ll probably do major damage unless you are highly skilled).

Check carefully for solder bridges before powering on and the battery is a major hazard, you do not want to short it out. In fact I’m not 100% sure of the best way to deal with the battery. If there’s a connector then unplug it otherwise it might be safest to remove both leads and wrap them individually in electrical tape first.

Can I ask you a favour while you have this open? If so could you please look around for anything on the PCB labelled JTAG and grab a picture of the whole PCB for me?

But recognizes the card, but the driver that installs win 10 does not operate

Hi Jose, I don’t have the Ultimate and I don’t track known issues for it either. Therefore I won’t be much help.

However, if you double click the problem device in device manager and go to the events tab you’ll get more information about the problem. Clicking on each event in turn provides yet more information. You should post this information if you can since it will help diagnose the problem.

I was sent five days ago new drivers, but can not find for micro-sd in the packet sent.
I have the same problems. I tried two brands of card 32 and 64 Gb. and do not work.
