Great news ! Thank you!
Now need understand why screen rotation is not working and how to fix it. Also, may be any other apps then default, can adjust screen brightness.

September 20, 2016 at 10:28 pm #50311phone flash tool doesnt work

September 21, 2016 at 2:39 am #50326Don’t remember, probably at this forum already wrote – our tablet against x98 plus has a bit different partitioning sizes. Need correcting one of file ,that responsible during flashing for partitioning.
Or,I think, flash bios from previous , x98 plus tablet, then totally ,whole disc erase, and setup everything (Win+Android) fm x98 tablet.Should be everything OK,but without programmer,I’ll not to risk flash bios
October 1, 2016 at 3:40 pm #52424Woaw I can’t believe how simple this was. I lost my Windows Boot tho but I’ve been thinking of going entirely Android since Windows runs like crap on this tablet.
Brightness isn’t so bad. Auto rotate not working is no big deal since I never hold the tablet in portrait. Plus, Remix was made to be used in landscape, like Windows.
Edit: Camera app doesn’t work. I didn’t use it before but I’m testing what works and doesn’t.
October 1, 2016 at 3:47 pm #52426how did you flash it? how did you get it to work?

OP’s post is a bit confusing but I’ll try to be as throughout as possible.
Download the Remix OS file for the Teclast X98. Also Download the Android 5.1 recovery files for X98 Plus II that OP linked

What you’re going to do is pull the boot.img out of the Android 5.1 zip file and replace the one in the Remix os zip with it. This will allow Remix OS to boot. Next up is to Boot your tablet into DNX mode.
With your tablet off, hold the power button and the + and – volume buttons. Once it displays you’re in DNX mode, plug in your tablet to your computer and run the Intel Phone Flash tool. If you have all the drivers installed correctly, the software will recognize the tablet.
Select Browse and choose the Remix OS zip folder that you’ve modified with a different boot.img file.
Under configuration, change it to “recover” or “recovery”
Click Flash. You’ll see Errors both on your PC and on your Tablet but once you reboot you’ll be able to boot remix. It takes a while for the first time boot.
Note that you lose your Windows 10 boot when you do this. I’m about to attempt reinstalling it to see If I can use it again. I’m also looking up way to resize partitions and abandon Win 10 all together.
October 1, 2016 at 11:14 pm #52503Woah it took me a while to notice this but sound does not work. Speaker and headphone jack. Bluetooth works so I am able to hear sound through bt headphones. After some searching around, I’ve found that Bay trail and Cherry Trail devices such as ours don’t support sound. I don’t know if there is a work around yet.
October 2, 2016 at 4:06 pm #52519i kept getting error messages about partition sizing following these instructions
October 6, 2016 at 4:18 pm #53281I hope the sound issue can be fixed. I really like Remix OS and the Android 5.1 this tablet comes with really sucks. SD card recognition in Android works but most apps don’t recognize it.
October 26, 2016 at 3:09 am #55677Strange things…Yesterday’s morning on my Teclast x98 plus II with Remix OS installed, began work Sound!!!
Did nothing with tablet before.
Really strange.
May be with time begin work autorotation of screen :))
