Loose ribbon connector to the IPS panel maybe? Sounds like hardware. That’s the risk with Chinese tablets, you save but things can go wrong. Mine iwork10 ultimate is still going strong (touch wood).
You could try open it, make sure all the connectors are seated good. Normally they are taped in so having one unplugged or come loose is unlikely. Unless one wasn’t pushed in and lined up correctly.

Next up for review:
Ordered and waiting for my: BMAX S15 & Teclast F6 Plus
Currently testing: LG G8X & Redmi K30August 4, 2016 at 8:09 am #45556hi Chris, that was also my assumption.
I’ll try to open it during the weekend and check the internals, cause sending it back to china would just be waste of time and money…
August 4, 2016 at 1:07 pm #45595guys anybody can give me some how-to guide how to open up the tablet? i don’t want to break anything, i tried searching the web, but unfortunately havent found anything relevant.
I guess it should not be that hard, but i don’t want to break it even more than it is right now.
Thanks
MiroslavAugust 4, 2016 at 4:23 pm #45618I’ve fixed it. The ribbon cable socket was somehow unlocked and cable got loose.
Fixed within 2mins.

Wait, what? What was the problem and how did you fix it? The picture doesn’t show any fix.
August 10, 2016 at 9:46 pm #46360The brown socket in the picture was in unlocked position and ribbon cable was loose and not connected properly. I’ve fully unlocked the socket, connected the cable back in properly and locked it (by pressing the brown lock down)
August 16, 2016 at 8:40 am #46980hi Miroslav,
Was it difficult to open the tablet?
I have my cube type-c for about 2 months now, and love it. but since i’ve bought a stylus, I noticed an 0.5cm unresponsive column on my screen. As it is visible in android as in windows, and with or without a stylus, this sounds like a faulty connection with the digitiser I guess?! I prefer to try to fix it myself, rather than sending it in for repair. I’ll try to refix connector or apply some contact spray? I did open up phones, but never a Tablet. I imagine with the same tools and precaution I should be able to do the job 😉
let me know if you encountered difficulties.
thanks,
Lucien
August 16, 2016 at 1:36 pm #47015Hi,
no it was not difficult at all, there are no screws holding the back metal piece. You just have to pry between the screen and metal part to loosen up the back.
August 16, 2016 at 3:14 pm #47029Thanks Miroslav, I’ll try it tomorrow. Hope I don’t @@ it up 😉
August 16, 2016 at 7:43 pm #47049just for the record and for people with unresponsive rows or columns on their screen.
Before opening up my tablet, I wanted to do some more research on this item and found a bit awkward solution on youtube. an piezo lighter!? Well, checkit out as it completely solved it for me 🙂 🙂
