I’m not sure if this has been discussed before or not, but this is how I enabled all of the Windows 10 power options on my X98 Pro. Even with a clean install of Windows, you’ll be locked to a Balanced Power plan by default. Enabling all power plans and advanced power settings is pretty simple.
1) Open REGEDIT and navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Power.
2) Modify (right click) CSEnabled and set the value to 0.
3) Restart the tablet, and now you should see all options under Power Options.
Since my tablet will be always plugged in and running as a home server, I’ve chosen the High Performance plan and set the processor to run at 100%. Now in Task Manager, you can see the processor is always running at its max clock of 2.24GHz.
With the processes I’m normally running, the CPU usage is usually around 50% with temps around 70c. I haven’t done the thermal mod, but probably something I’ll be looking into soon.
