Chuwi HiBook Android Review (Video)

Chuwi’s HiBook is the twin of the Cube iwork10 Ultimate, sharing many features and the same keyboard. But the HiBook has a few minor changes, like a Type-C port, no stylus support and left and right speakers as opposed to both of the right of the tablet like the iwork10 Ultimate.  In this video review, I cover the Android side of things, Windows will be covered in a separate video. Most of these pros and cons of the HiBook will also apply to the tablet in general so also in Windows 10 Home.

Note, that I applied the bios update that fixed any Wifi disconnection issues in Android. And with the 2560 x 1600 resolution HiBook Pro on the way soon, I expect Android gaming performance will take a huge hit driving that high-res panel. This is a trade-off for that sharper fully laminated display.

Pros:
Good build and keyboard dock.
Bright 1920 x 1200 (328 lux screen)
Stock like ROM with removable bloatware
Approximately 5 hours battery life (3 hours gaming non-stop)
Good performance for an Atom X5 Z8300
Loud speakers

Cons:
USB Ports on the dock will not power a 2.5″ HDD
USB Type-C port offers no real benefit
Larger air gap in the screen Vs the Cube iwork10 Ultimate
Wifi signal is weaker than the iwork10 Ultimate
