Teclast has an X98 Plus II model coming soon. And it looks to me like it’s sadly just a refresh of the design with a new unibody rear alloy housing redesign. The ports are now all on the top of the tablet and the speaker slots look a little different. It’s hard to say if it’s slimmer or not due to Teclast’s history of inaccurate photoshopped images.
The specs are all the same. Same, CPU an Atom X5 Z8300, 4GB of RAM and a 64GB eMMC with Android 5.1 and Windows 10. The same 8000 mAh battery and 2048 x 1536 IPS Retina panel. The rear camera is now just a 2MP unit like the front camera. That’s a downgrade.
I was at least hoping for a fully laminated screen, larger battery maybe or something, anything different? Maybe we are missing that info from the GearBest listing and promo images?
