Chuwi Lapbook 14.1 Apollo Lake N3450 (Updated)

Update: 20th December. The official price will be $299 USD and it’s due to be released on the 22nd of December. And yes, I’ve ordered one so it will get a full review.

Chuwi’s second laptop the Lapbook 14.1 (Called that because it has a 14.1″ 1080p IPS screen) is coming at the end of this month. This model is a step up from the first Lapbook the 15.6″ model with a weaker Atom X5 Z8300 or Z8350. It has the new Intel Celeron N3450 (Apollo Lake 14nm) with Intel Gen9 graphics, 4GB of DDR3 RAM and 64GB eMMC. The battery is 9000mAh which should be good for 7 hours or more and unlike the first model it has dual band Wireless AC.

It’s 9mm thin at the front with the rear coming in at 20mm. The screen bezel is 8mm and the weight is 1.3 kilos.

The Chuwi Lapbook 14.1 is powered by Windows 10 Home (Redstone) and has two full sized USB ports, MicroSD slot and mini HDMI output. It charges via a D/C in port.

This one does look a lot more interesting than the Lapbook that I though wasn’t bad, mostly let by the Atom X5 Z8300 and slower 1066Mhz RAM.  I’ll aim to review this. Gearbest has it listed for $292
