iFive Mini 4S Review / RePad 8 Review Online

The iFive Mini 4S / RePad 8 review is now online, also rebadged in the USA as the RePad 8 which is essentially the exact same tablet, just with a different logo or the rear panel and bottom speaker grill is slightly different. For $125 (The lowest I’ve seen it going) you get quite a lot, fully laminated 7,9-inch IPS panel with sharp 2048 x 1536 resolution in a full metal 6.9mm thin body. As expected the 4800mAh battery is the tablet’s weakness, giving around 5 hours max battery life. And sadly my unit at least has an annoying buzz over the 3.5mm jack. So this meant it didn’t score as high in my rating for sound and battery life, apart from that it’s a great deal for the price. Just enough power for gaming, a fabulous stock Android 6.0 ROM and launcher so it’s quick.

Just enough power for gaming, a fabulous stock Android 6.0 ROM and launcher so it’s quick.  I’m looking forward to reviewing more tablets from FNF / 5 iFive who are still releasing 4:3 ratio tablets (apart from Samsung’s Tab S3) were others all focused on the 2-in-1 16:10 or 16:9 tablets.

If you do get one, make sure you update to firmware 1.04 before you use it to increase the max screen brightness and fix the camera crashing bug. My Pros and cons with rating are in the Repad 8 / iFive Mini 4S review.

And how to get it for $125? Just use coupon ifive21 here at GearBest. It’s the cheapest I’ve seen it, I got mine for $140 a few weeks ago so it shows you how the price has changed in such a short time!
