Up & Coming Reviews (May/June) Mi Scooter & More Laptops.

I’ve had a few messages what do I plan on reviewing next on the site and YouTube channel. Well, got a lot of things planned. The one I’m most excited for might surprise you, not a tablet, mobile or laptop. But an electric scooter! The Xiaomi M365 or MIJIA electric scooter. Mainly because parking in town is getting worse and worse, sometimes I have to park a good 15 to 20 minutes walking distance away from the studio. My plan is to use this to get to the there and back. Since it’s small and the handle folds down it will fit in my car no problems.

For those asking about taxes importing it. My tracking info has recently updated, it’s going to come via the UK. So China to UK and on to Spain with DHL. So It looks to be tax-free. $379 in the end with coupon GBXMSTE

Yes, it’s a lot of an electric scooter. But this one to me looks like really decent, the build, 30kms max distance, lights and e-ABS braking system. It should be arriving this month I hope, so keep an eye out for my review. I’ll let you know if it’s tax-free or not when I do the unboxing video.

Ordered and on the way. Coming soon for review!

Chuwi Lapbook 12.3

Apart from that, I have the Chuwi Lapbook 12.3, which is still listed as on alert on Gearbest, at this rate it seems like it will be released in June. The Lapbook 12.3 looks like one of the most promising Apollo Lake laptops. Surface Pro 4 screen, 6GB fo RAM, M.2 SSD bay, Wireless AC, 37Wh battery all in a full alloy body.

Civiltop Air

Next week the Civiltop Air, a 12.5″ MacBook 2015 clone with the same single Type-C port. 1080p IPS screen, 36Wh battery, wireless AC, 128GB eMMC 5 spec drive, Windows 10 Home, 4GB DDR3 RAM and powered by a Celeron N3450. This one is about portability. If you want two USB 3.0 ports, then there is the Onda Xiaoma 21, but it’s not in stock it seems. Never reviewed a Civiltop branded laptop before so will be a first.

It’s also got a fully metal build and only weighs around 1 kilo which is why I gave into requests to review this one. They include a type-c hub in the box for 1 USB 3.0 port, HDMI out and charging. Can’t say I’m keen on the gold, but can live with it is it’s a decent laptop.

Voyo Vbook V3 Core i5 7200U version

Then there is a Voyo Vbook V3 Core i5 7200U version with 8GB of RAM. Voyo decided to up the power of the Vbook V3 from a fanless Pentium N4200, to a  much more powerful fan cooled Kaby Lake. It’s ordered, waiting for it to ship out, hopefully soon. The design looks just like the Vbook V3, 360-degree hinge, touch 1080p IPS and 12,000mAh battery which I’m a little concerned about with an i5 7200U.

It’s selling for $599 at GearBest, Blue 8GB model and has fingerprint security. The press images state the RAM can be upgraded to 16GB.

VBOOK V3 13.3 inch Notebook 8GB RAM

And then in June, finally a tablet. The SurBook from Chuwi, Surface Pro 4 screen, kickstand, backlit keyboard. 64GB or 128GB eMMC 5 for storage, wireless AC. Sadly just another Celeron N3450 (This thing needs a Core M3)

The Microsoft Surface Laptop i5 7200U 4GB Entry model, this one is unknown I’m in discussion with Microsoft trying to convince them to send me a review unit. And then a mobile or two in between. So busy, busy and plenty of cool and interesting stuff up and coming!

If you want to see any tech reviewed. Please let me know in the comments if it’s not crazy expensive and there is demand for it, you never know I might review it.
