Update: 17th July. New real images of the tablet added, the side bezels look slimmer which is good and the price will be $219 if you’re an early backer and sign up with your email. After that, it will be $269 the standard price. Price wise this isn’t bad considering it has that SAMOLED screen, fingerprint reader, and the spec. Similar tablets sell for around the same price.
Alldocube has a new Android 8.1 tablet coming. It’s based around a fully laminated Samsung 2560 x 1600 Super AMOLED display, which supports HDR and meets the DCI-P3 standard. The tablet uses the MTK8176 hexa-core chip with PowerVR GX6250 GPU. Which isn’t a bad move as it is faster in my experience than the Helio X20 Deca-core tablets, but I would like to see more Snapdragon chips used. It has 4GB of LPDDR3 RAM with 64GB eMMC for storage. There is an AKM Hifi DAC on board so audio output so it should sound good and a fingerprint reader for added security.
The build is just 6.9mm thin and 245mm long and 179mm high. The rear is an alloy unibody. I can see a 3.5mm headphone jack and type-c port with two top firing loudspeakers. The 8000mAh battery supports MediaTek’s Pump Express 2.0 fast charging and two 8MP cameras front and back. It looks as if this is going the way of others a crowdfunded tablet as the official page mentions Indiegogo.
So it looks promising, that screen sounds like it will be one of the best ones in an Android tablet. No GPS or HDMI Output as I can’t see it in the press images mentioned on the website. No word on the starting price, but it will have a 26% discount for early backers.
