We have the full specs now of the up and coming new 12.3″ laptop from Chuwi called the Lapbook 12.3″. This one has a 2736 x 1824 Surface Pro 4 screen in it with 450 cd/m2 max brightness and of course that 3:2 aspect ratio. As a Surface Pro 4 user, I know that it’s a great screen to have on a budget notebook.
The RAM is also 6GB dual channel, following the new trend to move from away from just 4GB. Other specs include Intel Celeron N3450, 64GB eMMC 5.0 and M.2 SSD slot for expansion. A 37Wh battery like the Chuwi Hi13 (So two 5000mAh battery cells in series) Which should be good for 7-8 hours of use.
Intel dual-band wireless AC 3165 chipset, same as the Hi13 & Lapbook 14.1. And port-wise it has one USB 3.0 and USB 2.0 port, Mini HDMI out and MicroSD card slot.
The Chuwi Lapbook 12.3 weighs 1.442 kilos and is 30cm x 22.3 x 1.67cm.
If you’re in Hong Kong make sure you stop by the Global Sources Mobile Electronics Expo in the Asia World Expo. (It’s next to the Hong Kong airport) Chuwi will be displaying all their latest tech there in booth 9C40, Hall 9&11
Still no info on the price yet however, it is listed on Gearbest. And it will be released by the end of the month according to Chuwi and yes, I do plan on reviewing this one.
