Immutable is most recognized as the creator of the Gods Unchained Web3 trading card game, which originally debuted on the Ethereum blockchain. In April 2021, the company unveiled its first zero-knowledge-based layer 2 network, Immutable X, aiming to reduce transaction fees for its game players. While Immutable X wasn’t fully compatible with the Ethereum Virtual Machine, this new zkEVM implementation aims to provide a smoother experience, allowing users to switch networks within their wallets to access the new features.
