I didn’t spend much time, trying to install Windows 7 – one reason is, that in my experience, these Atom-like devices tend to perform better under Windows 10 or 8 than under 7. The other one being, that I didn’t have much time for experiments. 😉

So far, it seems that the BIOS of the Ezbook 3 Pro only boots in EFI mode and the OS-Settings (Linux, Win7, DOS) don’t have any kind of effect. I prepared my thumdrive with the EFI files, but the Wind0ws bootloader got stuck, complaining about missing files, which were definitely present under the mentioned path. It’s possible, that it doesn’t work, because it was a multi-boot stick with GRUB loading various ISO images or the Windows bootloader. This kind of chainloading might interfere with the EFI boot, so some time later, I will create a clean, dedicated Windows 7 boot thumb drive and see, how it goes. But most likely, the install.wim will need some patching for USB drivers and maybe other things. And I won’t be suprised, if it turns out to be impossible.
