Great nice work. Any photos? Where did you put the antennas. I’m looking to add a 4G modem and upgrade my SSD to 256GB.

Jens you should put the antenna in the plastic part of the tablet. Metal reflects radiowaves.

Can you place phone calls with a 4G card ? Some of these also mention GPS. Is it going to work?

this 4G lte modem working great, but not able yet to use Gps, the seller say need to update Gps drivers, he say google it for last driver but cant find it yet, asked seller for driver but still waiting …

where can i find firmware and driver for huawei ME906E for cube i9

i inserted sim card and it says Inset Sim

gps works OK

in device manager it says “HUAWEI Mobile Broadband Module” and driver is from Microsoft dated 7/15/2016 version 10.0.14393.0

I just ordered that Huawei modem from AliExpress. Judging from the discussion on the HP website, it appears that the drivers have to be changed from the default Microsoft drivers to the specific Huawei drivers, with the firmware updated first. Does anybody know the details on the firmware and drivers file names? I grabbed the various files described in the HP thread. One of the users named Fasst seems to say that one should update the firmware to the version in SP66535, then run SP66243, and then run SP70068. Is that what others have done? Yes?

Another question. I haven’t opened up the Cube i9 yet, so it isn’t clear to me what is the size of the SIM card it accepts? Nano or Micro?

Edit: OK, according to the IMEI webpage on the Cube i9 the SIM slot is a mini-SIM, so it looks like I’ll be using one of my adapters, then.
