    I have upgraded t my k9c3 W10 a to last build- 1511.

After some minutes checked battery life- it shows more that 3 .5 hours, therefore so not impressive.

Could battery life be longer in Android if this OS would be installed in parallel?

The first cycle after installing the firmware, Windows told me 7-8h autonomy.
I could not check whether this information was true, I recharged the battery of the tablet meantime.
Since then, new windows tells me a range of about 3:30 to 95% of battery …

    I do not understand…

Finally, after a few days, I do not find any significant improvement.

    I have 2 questions:

Do you, the battery reaches 100% when charging? I have the impression that once 100% charging stops and then resume when the power is about 95%.

Are there a people who have good battery life, or everyone has the same problem?

Mine doesn’t reach to 100% and it stops charging on 97-98% usually. Battery life is poor, on minimum brightness I can surf web around 3.5 hours. I’m not satisfied of battery life at all.

same for me….3h that max… very low  brightness 14% +save mode + testing maximum CPU state for 85% and resolution 1400×1050 to squeeze a bit more …..really unsatisfying

Hello, most of the questions about this tablet are answered on the review done by Chris:

    http://techtablets.com/teclast-x98-pro/review/

With brightness at 25% and light usage I have managed to get 5 hours in Windows.
It is a 8000 mAh battery, listed as 30000 mWh in some sites.
The power usage depends a lot on the CPU, GPU and screen brightness. CPU uses up to 3W, GPU up to 5 and with brightness above 75% it’s impossible to keep the tablet charged, you lose more power than the charger can provide.

If you want good battery life and still in the market for a 9.7″ tablet, the X98 Plus is king. Over 8 hours. But you have to give up some performance in exchange for this battery life.

See my X98 Plus review: http://techtablets.com/teclast-x98-plus/review/

I was pretty amazed to get this kind of life out of the X98 Plus. It’s almost double that of my X98 Pro. But the Pro will walk all over it in benchmarks and gaming. So it depends on what your needs are in a tablet. Power or battery life.

Glad to hear about the good battery life. I did notice on a device spec site the battery in the Plus was listed as being 200 mAh larger. Maybe they contracted better cells after the reports of the poor battery life of the Pro?

    Hi chris

the only downside for me on the x98 plus is that they only have windows as a operating system and i mainly use android, do you know if there are going to release a x98 plus with android and windows. i need a tablet with a long battery life and has both operating systems.

Can can we repair battery life:

    1. Changing to optimized bios or settings in Windows?
    2. Change battery itself – which model if possible?
    3. Will battery replacement help at all? Maybe battery  usage is related to some overheating problems?

Someone on the xda is pm to another user…
Maybe this had to do with problems with the pro and maybe teclast can not solve the problems?
“I just received a PM form someone with issues posting here who wanted me to mention that they received an email from Teclast saying that the X98 Pro was discontinued and replaced with the X98 Plus.”
