as I said earlier .. I suggest you reprogram the bios as he said in jonathan in this latest guide.
P.S. I have had to re-program and re-weld, Wick and started the first time.
December 23, 2016 at 12:59 am #59120Hi Jonathan. I already sent Yepo 737s back to gearbest. Also ordered the new version of the jumper ezbook 2. Just hope I do not get thermal throttle while watching movies…
December 23, 2016 at 4:58 pm #59147I have a 1.8v chip so need to order a converter 🙁
Will inform of info when arrives
Thank you for replays and help
December 26, 2016 at 6:32 am #59257I can not boot and display bios with esc. The operating system remains on the home screen. Is there anyone who can help?
How do I get into bios. Or how do I reset bios?
December 27, 2016 at 5:53 pm #59359Are you using original keyboard or a external keyboard? It might run with “esc”… Very strange!

January 29, 2017 at 8:06 pm #61197This is a good guide, since it’s for a different device obviously substitute the BIOS file for the one for your tablet and adjust dismantling steps as required. I would read back the BIOS before erasing it and please note that the device might not pass the blank check if there are ptotected pages, don’t worry if that happens. Oh and make sure you identify the flash chip, there can be other ICs with the same package on the board so look up the number online before trying to program it.
Hi @jonathan I’m also among those who bricked the Jumper EzBook 2 just by adjusting some BIOS settings… I’ve read the guide you mentioned, and I would like to recover it by flashing its BIOS…
From what I’ve read I’ll need the BIOS file for the Jumper EzBook 2 (I got it here https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B-FaQPtwC6YxOExNN1ItTkVYQ3c/view thanks to @malup )
Then I’ll also need a CH341A 24 25 Series EEPROM Flash BIOS DVD USB Programmer and a SOP8 SOIC8 Test Clip With Cable For EEPROM 93CXX / 25CXX / 24CXX
I’m not comfortable on electronics and/or soldering so before I buy something wrong, can you please help me and check if I made the right choices here http://www.ebay.com/cln/xenomorph193/flash-bios-jumper-ezbook-2/373948450011 (I went to ebay since one of the links on the original guide was sold out).
I will not need to solder/desolder anything right? Do I need anything else? Do I need a converter for flashing the EzBook 2? (I can provide a macro photo of the chip)
Many thanks in advance to you all… sorry I’m a bit nervous, it’s going to be my first time doing this although I’ve been upgrading PC BIOSes for more than a decade but those never involved soldering/desoldering, using cables, or touching internal hardware… the closest I got to this were simple CMOS jumper pins reset LOL
Best regards
RicardoFebruary 8, 2017 at 6:56 pm #61872More than a week without anyone replying to my post got me thinking that perhaps after all no one is really quite sure on how to answer my questions (which voltage the BIOS chip has, and do I need a 1.8v converter?)…
Well, good news is that I now can answer myself!
I did some heavy “digging” and managed to identify the BIOS chip (thank you magnifying glass), as well as it’s voltage.
The BIOS chip used in the Jumper EzBook 2 is in fact a GigaDevice 25LQ64CV1G

Checking its data sheet at GigaDevice website http://www.gigadevice.com/product/download/258.html we can find out that it’s a 1.8v chip
So I have updated my ebay collection to include a 1.8v adapter http://www.ebay.com/cln/xenomorph193/flash-bios-jumper-ezbook-2/373948450011
I’ve bought these 3 items yesterday and now I’m waiting for them in the next 30 days… we’ll see what happens when I try to flash it. I’ll report back.

April 20, 2017 at 12:29 pm #65764I think we have a serious problem…
I also bought the programmer but the software has no support for this chip, and the developer is nowhere to be found… so no chance of new version and support for this GIGADEVICE 25LQ64CV1G chip in the near future…
Unless someone comes up with a software to flash this chip version, my EzBook 2 is just a big paperweight
Best regards

In that case you might get lucky… if the flash software has support for your chip then all you need is indeed what you’ve requested.
But I’m afraid I can’t help you since I have no working BIOS file for your chip.
Best regards
RicardoApril 20, 2017 at 7:59 pm #65784Ricardo,
This is a guide that programs the Flash chip you have: http://forum.x86pad.com/t/guide-how-to-unbrick-meegopad-t07-4gb-and-other/926
Note that he is using version 1.29 of the programming software, available at: https://techtablets.com/forum/topic/bricked-trying-bios-update/page/3/#post-39800
With some AV software this is triggering a heuristic based red flag, I think it’s OK but exercise as much caution as necessary in your situation…DON’T FORGET TO READ BACK THE BIOS and save a copy before overwriting, you might want to re-inject your windows key one day.
Finally, sorry for not replying way back when but some issues came up that I had to deal with urgently…
Gereg, Are you still in need of a BIOS file?
April 20, 2017 at 8:07 pm #65785Ricardo, This is a guide that programs the Flash chip you have: http://forum.x86pad.com/t/guide-how-to-unbrick-meegopad-t07-4gb-and-other/926 Note that he is using version 1.29 of the programming software…
Thanks anyway, I’ve already tried it, but ver 1.29 does not have support for GD25LQ64 just GD25Q64
The GigaDevice 25LQ64 is a newer chip. It was supposed to be supported in ver 1.32 only but like I said the developer is M.I.A.
So my EzBook is dead unless someone can find me another software that works with this programmer and supports the 25LQ64
Best regards
RicardoApril 20, 2017 at 8:22 pm #65786Did you actually try communicating with the chip? The programmer you have doesn’t support 1.8V, that’s why you use the adaptor. The Q version is 2.7-3.6V whereas the LQ version is 1.8V. This might explain its absence from the list.
I’ll compare the datasheets…
