Saw on a post somewhere that a fix for this was to do a tap, tap , hold on the power button. Eg. Press/ release, press/release, press and hold for like 3-5 seconds then release. Guy swore that would make it power on every time it failed to turn on.

Havent had it happen myself so couldn’t say if this actually works or not.

if it does work please let me/us know.

    Hey guys,

I’m having a very similar problem. I had been using my chuwi vi10 fine for a few months then last week it decided to turn off and not turn on again. I charged it and everything but no luck. I have seen on youtube that other people have the same problem.  Please help!

    <hr />

Zellot, dont work that  solucion, but thanks

I have an idea, i see so many vídeos and maybe is that windows 10 need so many “Volts” yo start, so, the baterry last days of use start to charge slowly and the original charger was unable to charge the tablet in use and only could let it on.

¿Solucion?  Well, go with a local support, he will open it, and with a “bigger baterry” will revive the baterry.

    Like cars.

    I will try that.

    Sorry for my English.

    possible solution:
since there is no led indicator you do not know the state of the tablet.
check if the tablet is off or not. might be that the system is frozen.
    1) charge the tablet at least 8h till the orange led is not flashing anymore. if you can’t complete this then it might be that the battery on your unit died or the battery controller died. 50/50 chance.
    2) if the battery controller died or if the orange led is not flashing: press the power button and hold for at least 5-6 seconds.
    3) press power button.

If the unit starts have fun. If the unit does not start possible problems:
    1) LCD not working anymore. Steps to diagnose this if it was connected to a wifi and have access to the router check the dhcp lease. or if you had teamviewer installed try to connect.
    2) battery died or controller died. – not much..get a 18650 cell from a old laptop battery recharge it, open the Vi10 up and try to connect the 18650 cell first to the controller and see if it boots up and if it does not then directly to the board … search for the red and black wires.

I still have and you my Chuwi Vi10. I had this issue in the begining as I often had trouble powering it on (commented in the review) But after updating to Windows 10 and the bios the problems went away. I think it’s charging related, I don’t use the stock charger or cable but my own Blitzwolf one.

Has anyone opened this tablet up by the way? I couldn’t see how. I think it might be glued on the rear glass.

I had this blinking orange light problem, but now, it doesn’t even charge. When i plug it to a charger (a tried many), nothing happens, the orange light do not turn on, and the power button does nothing.

Do you think my tablet is dead and i should contact the after sales service ? Or there is anything i can do ? I need it for mid October 🙁

Good Morning. I’ll tell you my problem with Vi10 Chuwi model CWI505, 64 bit workshop. The tablet does not light, does not seem to be loaded because the LED or flashing or does not light fixed.

The problem begins after trying to raise the brightness in the area of Android through an installable zip file through recovery. After this step, touch the tablet stopped working in the area of Android but still worked in the area of Windows.

I tried to fix it again Android and reinstall it through a pen I tried to update the bios and after the display off and has not been reignited.

If someone has or has had the same problem, I would appreciate if we could exchange ideas, questions or attempts to fix the problem.

    A greeting.

Great review and follow up comments by Chris (and others on the forum) which made me decide to purchase the Chuwi Vi10
Just received my Chuwi Vi10 and it seems a great tablet, but I have a potential problem after a total of about 10 hours operation.
After approx 2 hours of gaming in Android, without any warning there was a faint click and the screen went blank. Temperature of the back about 40°C.
Impossible to reboot and when I pluged in the charhger the LED did not come on. I thought the tablet was dead.
The following day I tried to reboot, nothing happened. I then pressed both volume buttons and the on/off button and the screen suddenly came on and displayed “waiting for xxxx command” (I dont rememeber the xxxx). I again pressed the on/off switch, the screen turned off. Once again I pressed the on/off switch and the tablet booted into android.
Does the Chuwi Vi10 have thermal protection which could explain why the tablet suddenly went dead or should I return the tablet for replacement ?
Has anybody else had a similar problem ?
I also have the problem Chris mentionned, difficulty to restart when using Windows.
Would appreciate any comments regarding above issues.

    Hey Everyone!

    I got my new Chuwi Vi10plus 3 2 Days ago and now…

The Display is on, but i got a black screen.(But its enlighted) Tried the power off and volume buttons in various orders, but it won’t restart or do anything.

Connecting to the PC gave me the same results.

I dont have a proper Screwdriver to open the Tablet…

Its charging properly (LED is flashing).
I decided to lay it down, until its out of charge and than restart it. (Hope this will work, I’ll tell you!)

Any ideas what the problem could be?

    Thank you!

    Greetings from Germany,

    Simon

EDIT: After it went out of battery, i’ve recharged the battery and it worked fine!

Have the same problem on my VI10 Plus it seems.

Been working fine for a month more or less. Powered it off yesturday with 80% battery unplugged (to save the battery since it seems to drag a bit connected to the keyboard in standby)

Today it wont power on. Tried more or less everything. It wont even turn on the LED when I try to charge it.

Tried loading it for 30 min with my Blitzwolf charger and a branded type-C cable, still no led, and still unable to power it on.

Tried the tricks above holding the power button and volume buttons in all kind of combination.

Still nothing, has anyone got it to work without having to open the tablet (in case I wanna return it to GB)
