Very good customer service Gearbest
Well if you don’t mind I will wait until all this is resolved and I have my tablet back working and then conclude to that 🙂
April 15, 2017 at 3:40 pm #65388April 19, 2017 at 8:25 pm #65709So, today I went to the local repair shop and they have diagnosed that motherboard is dead for good. They are 100% that this is the issue. I have messaged Gearbest about it and wait for them to tell me what is left to be done now…
I just hope they will send a new one right away (motherboard can’t be repaired and costs more than half the tablet, so not worth the trouble to get it back), as I really need to get it back quickly to use it for work and not after 2 months at least to send to china, diagnose again that motherboard is dead and then ship a new one, and also according to my local post office, it will cost me 45-50$ to send it back to China…
Will update the thread once I have something new.
April 20, 2017 at 8:23 am #65727April 20, 2017 at 12:18 pm #65761From Europe it’s 35 euros… but if you used paypal you can save up to 30 euros … but it’s a bit of paper/scanning work…
April 20, 2017 at 1:59 pm #65772I’m in Europe, and unfortunately I have paid with Credit card, so no refund from there. They told me that they might or might not give me back about 5-10$ back which is better than nothing for sure 🙂 I’m more concerned about the time it will take to arrive to China, let them diagnose and send back a new one…
April 20, 2017 at 2:01 pm #65773Forgot to mention, they answered back today that I need to send it back to them unfortunately…
I’m waiting for them to give me return address and details and I will send it to them.
April 23, 2017 at 9:07 am #65876Today is 10 days from the time I RMA my 20 days devices due to backlight bleed. I know it is unavoidable because of current technology limitation but the acceptable level should be with in some range as people discussed in Toms Hardware. http://www.tomsguide.com/answers/id-2922008/backlight-bleeding-acceptable.html
In my case, Cube China agree to an exchange so I will call my reseller next Tuesday to see if the new one arrives
April 25, 2017 at 11:54 am #65991April 26, 2017 at 3:58 pm #66101I think they will replace the screen and ship it back in your case. In mine they told that they will try to repair it and if that’s not possible they will ship a new one to me. Mine has not yet exited the country, I just sent it yesterday because they were some issues with my local post office. I hope I will be able to get it back working before summer…
May 14, 2017 at 10:12 am #66921Hello again. After so many days, my Cube Mix Plus was delivered to the Gearbest Warehouse in China. I am now waiting for them to examine it and provide me solutions to the issue.
(What is the status for your RMA @virgosun ?)
August 13, 2017 at 5:29 am #70515October 28, 2017 at 5:59 pm #74043I have the same problem. Yesterday i received my cube and was trying to install a clean win10. During installation the screen freezes sometimes, sometimes bluescreen. I tried it 3 times. I thought i could be driver related so i started installing drivers during setup. Then i was a while away while setup was running. As i came back the screen was black. I tried powerbutton, resetbutton both together and so on. Nothing worked.
But i think it is screen or driver related, because it looks like it starts into basic uefi, because after pressing the power button 3 sec. the windows key on the tablet reacts with vibration. After pressing it again for 5 sec it doesnt react anymore. I have left it some time in this vibration mode and the battery went down, so it is really working, but doesn´t show anything. So have someone an idea what to do anymore? Can i hardwarereset the UEFI? Or is there something i can type blindfolded into UEFI prompt to change screen, or reset it? Or force it from the outside via usb?
I hope someone has an idea or can look into his own UEFI Prompt if there is something.
October 28, 2017 at 7:54 pm #74057And mine broke down and I negotiated with bangood.com to buy another at a special price and they offered me a coupon with 40%
