December 31, 2015 at 1:35 am #20646OK Somehow I got it working! If you had the same problem of booting into EFI Shell with a “map not found” problem, message or reply to me and I’ll try to talk you through the randomness I went through in the BIOS to magically fix this problem.
I plan on posting YouTube tutorials for how to run AAA games from 5 years ago on the tablet (With some performance mods, of course)
December 31, 2015 at 2:16 am #20652My unboxing video:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_bVqnaIaY3EOne interesting hardware change in this latest batch (other than the USB3 port being blue 😉 ) … the previous lot used Samsung MCG8GC eMMC drives, rather than the Hynix HCG8E in yours.
Looking at other speed tests posted here the Hynix is approx. 10MB/s faster on writes, but about 10MB/s slower on reads.

Hey do me a favor, do a test by transferring files from your flash drive to desktop. CrystalDiskMark just tests the speed by its port, not real-world performance. I need to see if my speed is same as your since we have same flash drive.
December 31, 2015 at 7:41 am #20664Hi Viktor.
After reading your e-mail I accessed GeekBuying site and I realized I was wrong regarding specs for this tablet.
Terrible mistake since my initial search was for a dual boot tablet. Honestly I don’t know how I came up with the idea that this was dual boot qnr not only windows 10 tablet. Bad start for me.
Sadly for me you are right.
Yesterday after charging my tablet I was able to access Windows. Then before I fall sleep I left charging the keyboard and the tablet. This morning I had hard time to turn it on. I tried many times until it worked. I didn’t mentioned before since I was able to turn it on. Now I think that probably the problem was already there.
Then happened what I described on forum.
When I turn it on I see the chuwi/Intel logo and the following:
Preparing automatic repair
Then the message is replaced by:
Diagnosing your PC
And finally the screen stays wit this message:Your PC did not start correctly
Then there are 2 choices:
Restart
Advanced optionsI tried restart but didn’t’ work. And then I got the same described above.
Then I selected Advanced options and tried the options that were available [1.- Continue (Exit and continue to Windows 10), 2.- Troubleshoot (Reset your PC or see advanced options) 3.- (Turn off your PC)On option 2 there are 2 choices:
Reset PC ( I tried but didn’t work)
Advanced options (this have 5 choices)
System restore (Didn’t work)
System image recovery (I didn’t try this one)
Startup repair (I didn’t try it because needs internet connection)
Command prompt (I didn’t try it)
UEFI Prompt (I didn’t try it)Then there are 2 more choices:
Startup settings (change windows startup behavior)
Go back to the previous buildI didn’t’ try any.
I appreciate your help.
Regards
December 31, 2015 at 1:39 pm #20706Mine from GeekBuying is also the Windows 64Bit model with the Blue USB3 port.
December 31, 2015 at 8:45 pm #20757VC Mall from Aliexpress delivered a bad one for me, and I had to mess around with the BIOS, but it turned out to be 64-bit Windows fully functional.
December 31, 2015 at 9:33 pm #20760What does this mean (In the attached pic)? I never bought a ChuWi Hi8 or case. I did get the Black Friday deal where they sent me a bluetooth keyboard/case/screen protector with my Hi10…
Should I let them know? Or should I just accept the random case? I could sell it on eBay or something. idk probably not worth it.

Constant reboots, and black screen freezes which need the charger plugged in to get the tablet to boot again.
Thats twice i have been let down with Chuwi tablets.
My Vi10 used to think it was always had a charger connected and now this HI10 is faulty also.
If this is the standard of Chuwi tablets i am better off rid of them!
They really are junk.
On the plus side i purchased an Onda V919 air CH on ebay for £70 and that tablet is rock solid not one freeze or crash.
January 1, 2016 at 5:55 pm #20871Hello all,
I ordered a Vi10 Ultimate 64gb a few days ago from Banggood, unfortunately the Hi10 got in stock right after… I was thinking about cancelling my order and getting the Hi10. But with all the negative reports I’m scared off switching… What do you guys think?
With the 10% coupon for 1st order with the app the price is similar. I’ll wait a couple off days for the Hi10 keyboard. I’ll use the tablet to take notes for my courses and browse the Internets. Do you think the Hi10 can run photoshop?
Thanks for everything, happy new year!
January 2, 2016 at 3:11 am #20905que pasa bro!, im interested in hi10 keyboard , Do you know who has stock of keyboard? My only concern is to bring 32-bit Windows instead of 64 bits
January 2, 2016 at 11:57 am #20947Adobe photoshop express works fine.
January 9, 2016 at 12:29 pm #21650Hey guys.
I have received my Hi10 today from VCMall, its 64bit one, so thats good.
But I have a problem with wifi. It only works when I have my tablet right next to the router, as long as i do few steps away the connection is lost. I hope its not a hardware issue. Any idea how to fix it?
Thanks

Sounds like it could be the wifi cable isn’t plugged in correctly. I’ve got good Wifi reception on my unit as good as any other tablet.
If it is the cable fixing it would require opening it up and checking the wifi cable, not recommend. I would get in touch with your seller.

Next up for review:
Ordered and waiting for my: BMAX S15 & Teclast F6 Plus
Currently testing: LG G8X & Redmi K30January 9, 2016 at 8:54 pm #21697I have contacted VCMall and that’s what they have replied:
“sorry for the problem, i have confirmed with the chuwi factory and this problem can be solved, they are now doing the software with teach video within 3days upgrade to official web, later we will send to you to help you solve the problem together,”
So I really hope that is true. So far all they have said about all the problems and solutions were correct, hope this time is the same. Grrrr, I’m starting to regret buying this tablet.
