Hi13 $345 ~£277 – then £282 – now £333 ~$420? Listed as £400 retail. I guess $500 retail. Watching their site they would have appeared to have sold ~500 at the lower price. I don’t mind relatively poor service for the direct-from-China price – but I object very strongly to deceitful practice!
I already own a Hi10 and 2 off Hi8 – and am very pleased – despite the folly of dual-booting Win10 in 32Gb of SD – it was quite a job to get the Hi8 to accept the W10 upgrade and waiting for drivers from Chuwi. But I am left with the problem that I will have the same huge hassle every time MS want to do an upgrade…. Removing Android from the first partition was too risky – however in my opinion 8″ tablets are good enough (mebbe better) with Android rather than W10. Whereas the larger tablets can double as laptops etc nicely with W10. IMHO! Sorry off topic!
April 5, 2017 at 2:31 pm #64716Ah, makes sense. I wasn’t thinking about touch, as I don’t have it, and did not know Edge worked better for touch.
Btw, did not realize the letter F was bad language. LOL. I personally do not take offense to the use of expressive language.
I just don’t give a damn 😉 laf!
[edit] also, my expressive language is a result of pretty much hating the products of the big anti-privacy companies…Microsoft, Google, Yahoo, Apple, Facebook. So I avoid all their products as much as possible. I use Linux 99% of the time. No Google or Microsoft browsers. I use Protonmail for email. Unfortunately I have no choice but to use a phone with Google’s Android OS.April 5, 2017 at 4:56 pm #64726Don’t all scoff but opera seems to be the most stable browser I have found for my usage .

GearBest claim to have ‘Shiped out’ [sic] my Hi13; but it does not yet state ‘Product dispatch’ – in my previous experience this does not mean shipped – it has meant in the past that it has been packed, addressed, and assigned to a carrier – but it is only in a consolidation (pallet?) of a consignment. My thought is that they wait until they have a full weight of items for a given country/carrier before they ship them (otherwise their shipping costs would not work – they send ridiculously cheap items individually from China – they have to consolidate or they would be bankrupt in a very short time!) I have enquired of them in the past what they mean, but they will not give a straight answer……
April 6, 2017 at 9:03 am #64783I just got a tracking number (DHL) for my Hi13 from Gearbest. So it seems they do have some stock now and must be pushing out the orders first in first served. Also express ships out first?

Currently testing: LG G8X & Redmi K30April 6, 2017 at 3:00 pm #64801Hey Chris G i have another question for you now that you have received your hi13, How is the battery life? This is one of my biggest concerns i noticed at 75 percent in your video it only stated 2 hours. On a full charge do you get 8 hours? 4hours of video streaming? im just curious what your opinion on the battery is thus far!

April 7, 2017 at 7:53 pm #64856Looking at the official Chuwi store on aliexpress and all orders to the UK include a compulsory extra protection plan from the warranty group. In theory it offers local swap out cover for a year. Anyone have any experience with this?
April 8, 2017 at 4:37 am #64874I ordered the Chuwi hi13 including a keyboard and stylus and so far only the stylus has made it through and is bound to arrive in Australia.
The tablet however was sent back (according to Andy from the official Chuwi store) and is now delayed for another week because the “shipping company” is on holidays (again this is what Andy described the problem as). Aliexpress is starting to really disappoint because they have terrible customer service and as of now I have yet to get back my refund money from a seller on there.
Any one else have the same response/problem?

One seems twonbe shipped by air and second one still in exchange office, but aliexpress tracking is not always that accurate.
Aliexpress and sellers usually have good customer service as lomg as all goes well. When problems occur customer service tends to drop.
