I have a surface pro 3 protector on mine that I had left over from a tablet I had sold. The fit was close enough (only left small borders on the side, I have a thread you can find photos in if you care to see). The one you linked is .3mm so I can’t speak for that one but the cover I use was only .26mm. I saw no reduction in touch sensitivity and if anything felt the glass made my touches and swipes smoother and more accurate compared to the factory installed plastic protector.
May 13, 2016 at 8:30 pm #37190Sorry, that previous link doesn’t have an Hi12 review yet. This is the one I found, and it’s for a little thinner glass protector too.
May 17, 2016 at 9:46 am #37670I ordered tempered glass screen protector for chuwi hi12 from aliexpress. It is .15 mm 9H hardness: http://www.aliexpress.com/item/12Inch-9HGlass-Screen-Protectors-For-CHUWI-HI12-Tablet-PC-Tempered-Glass-Screen-Protector-Glass-film-H/32647159621.html
I will update when it arrives in a couple of days. The ad does state optimised for touch and at .15mm it it almost half the thickness of the one mentioned.
May 17, 2016 at 2:33 pm #37698I ordered a .3 off amazon for 10.99. If it doesn’t work out, I’ll try the one you mentioned.
May 17, 2016 at 7:23 pm #37733i have ordered the vikoo one and I received it yesterday after 2 weeks.
The quality is pretty good and the size is perfect.
BUT it’s NOT oleophobic so it gets fingerprints on it pretty easily but other than that i’m pretty satisfied.
it arrived in a really solid thin box, enveloped with “bubble plastic” (sorry I don’t how is it called =P
May 17, 2016 at 8:05 pm #37741I ordered this one when I ordered my Hi12. I have no complaints, other than the fact it is chipping and beginning to crack on the edge where the hinge is in 2 spots. It has not been abused in the least,it appears to be caused by opening and closing. You can only see it when the tablet is not docked to the keyboard. Maybe it is too thick? http://www.amazon.com/Protector-Tempered-Hardness-Definition-Shockproof/dp/B01CJPMI94/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1463515205&sr=8-2&keywords=chuwi+hi12+screen+protector
May 17, 2016 at 8:17 pm #37746I ordered this cover/tempered glass combo… it doesn’t list a thickness, but I’ll be sure to post if it’s good

same issue. i posted pictures my chipped glass protector in the other discussion
May 18, 2016 at 9:32 pm #37866I use a surface pro 3 tempered glass cover on my Hi12 and it’s been a positive experience so far. I felt like my touch accuracy increased with the glass (compared to the factory installed plastic) but I also have a strong bias against plastic screen protectors. My stylus is on the way so I’ll be sure to post some feedback about what (if any) impact the glass protector has on the stylus sensitivity.
May 19, 2016 at 8:29 am #37900I’m going without any protector on my screen now. Works much better, looks more clear and brighter my X98 Air III has had no screen protector since day one and it’s about a year old and looks just fine. Only one super fine scratch that you can only see in certain light and powered off.
I think if you use the keyboard dock, a case or sleeve and you’re careful with it you should be okay.

Ordered and waiting for my: BMAX S15 & Teclast F6 Plus
Currently testing: LG G8X & Redmi K30June 1, 2016 at 5:52 am #39438Finally got my Hi12 today! But I did notice the screen is not as responsive as everyone’s videos. I messed around with pointer and mouse settings and it seemed to get worse. I think I may have to risk a naked screen. But I do want a stylus as well. It is a shame because I already ordered matte screen protectors. I know fingerprints and glare are gonna bother me outside.

it works like a charm even with a screen protector.

The questions is though, do you use a Stylus at all?
If you do and if one plans to, then leaving the screen “naked” may not be a good option.
June 5, 2016 at 10:32 pm #39957I put my glass screen protector on. It’s a nice fit and looks good and is a lot smoother to slide your finger over when scrolling than the stock plastic film. It does seem to have slightly reduced touch sensitivity though so sometimes I have to press a link or button twice. It still fits the keyboard dock fine but I added a strip of painters tape to the dock to take some pressure off the glass when opening / closing.

Chris, about 6 weeks later now. How is the screen now ? Do you use it with the HiPen regularly and is it still without scratches ?
My HiPen will arrive soon, so I have to decide if I need to protect my screen with a tempered glass screen protector.
Not really keen to do so, as I find the sensitivity with the factory applied screen protector already a bit lacking and I expect it won’t improve with a tempered glass one.
