The Android flashing procedure writes partition structures onto the eMMC as well as installing Android.

For the moment we don’t know that the tablet is dead (I suspect that it isn’t).

Are you saying that you have data on the tablet that you need?

The usual way to get the tablet back to an operational state, if possible, is to use Intel’s flash utility to install Android, then Windows using the procedure to which I directed you previously.

If you do this you will lose any files etc. that were on the tablet, hence my question regarding data on the tablet (you said “I think the tablet is dead and have no chance to backup it..”).

Now if you did something silly like running a legacy partitioning tool on the tablet there may be a way for you to recover the system and keep anything you had on the tablet intact, but it will require more effort on my behalf than the other approach so I want be sure it’s necessary first. If you like you can try probing a bit more to see if the later approach is possible: “dblk blk0 747ffff” (without the quotes), press enter. If you get an address out of range please try blk1 and blk2.

    http://techtablets.com/forum/topic/chuwi-vi10-pro-64gb-fix-restore-etc/

Get the attached file Chuwi-VI10-PRO-64GB.pdf, don’t do anything with the BIOS but otherwise follow the guide.  (Download everything before you start). By the way, the device looks completely black, if you didn’t do this then something is very weird.

You need a working PC onto which you download all the files in the guide. If you power down your tablet then hold the volume button nearest the power button and the power button at the same time you should start up in DNX mode and be able to restore Android by connecting your tablet to the other PC as directed.

Try the power + volume first just to be sure it still works.

Hold the power button on your tablet until it switches off.

Press and hold the volume up button (the one closest to the power button) then press and hold the power button.

After a while you should get a message on the tablet saying it’s in DnX mode and waiting for a fastboot command.

Then you are clear to proceed, for now turn your tablet off and get the flash tools and Android packages onto the PC you’re going to use to fix the tablet and follow the guide’s instructions for setting up to flash Android. If the eMMC is OK you’ll be back in business.
