I have a question..
when I fix it .. the Windows is back too?
or only the android?
January 12, 2016 at 6:04 pm #22070The guide has three main stages, the first updates the BIOS; the second installs Android and the third puts pack Windows.
I don’t want you to do the BIOS stage.
The second stage uses another PC to write Android to your tablet, this is your first objective. If the tablet is really dead then this will fail.
The final stage puts back Windows 8.1 using just the tablet (without the other PC), you can safely defer the download of the very large files for this stage until after Android is back.
January 12, 2016 at 7:03 pm #22081Why don’t do the bios stage?
cause it’s hard or what?
January 12, 2016 at 8:49 pm #22094Slightly risky with no obvious benefit for you, at least at the moment.
January 12, 2016 at 8:54 pm #22096So who can help me with that?
January 12, 2016 at 9:09 pm #22098You don’t need to reflash the BIOS, that’s working well enough. At the moment you should concentrate on getting Android back on the eMMC.
January 13, 2016 at 5:57 pm #22228So what do you tell me about that?
About the guide you send me..
i can do it or what?
January 14, 2016 at 4:40 pm #22334Hello???
January 14, 2016 at 5:31 pm #22340My advice to you is still to try flashing Android over USB as directed in the guide (the PDF file attached to the first post in the other thread to which I linked). The bit from the guide that you require is this:
Secondly, download the Manufacturing Flash Tool from here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B_WhOdPMvW1OY3RTUUlyM3RPVUk/view?usp=sharing
Extract the contents to a folder on your PC. Then install the usb driver (as we have Baytrail devices we only need to install the IntelAndroidDrvSetup 1.5.0.exe but to be honest I installed the other too, just for luck.
Then install the Manufacturing Flash Tool 6.0.51, once complete copy the CUSTOM_CONFIG file to the installation directory of the MFT should be here “C:\Program Files (x86)\Intel\Manufacturing Flash Tool”.
Open the Manufacturing Flash Tool, click “file”, then “setting”. Under SOC devices The VID should be 8087 and the PID should be 0A65. Then under Android devices The VID should be 8087 and the PID should be 09EF. Note: yours could be different, you can get them using device manager when you first enter dnx mode so don’t panic. Then click “apply” and then “ok”.
Next boot into the bios by pressing the power button and when you see the backlight press “escape” click on the bottom right icon to get into the bios properly, navigate to the next tab and select “Android” as the default boot device, press F10 and select “yes”. Note: this ensures that the device identifies the right hardware and also makes it easier to get into “DNX” mode.
Next download the Android image from here:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B_WhOdPMvW1OVElJMGp6LXlnSDQ/view?usp=sharing
Extract the image to a folder, then go back to the Manufacturing Flash Tool and click “file” then “open” navigate to the folder you’ve just extracted and select the “flash.xml” file and click “open”. The program should now say it’s ready to flash.
Go to the tablet and hold the power button and volume button (closest the power button) once the screen lights up let go of the power button. You should now get “DNX MODE”, “Waiting for fastboot command”.
Put the USB cable into your main PC then place the micro-usb into the tablets micro-usb port. If you had already been flashing and have the drivers installed, then the flashing procedure will be automatic.
Once the flash is finished it should reboot the tablet, if not as long as the MFT says “Board Flashed Successfully” and your tablet says “OK” use the volume up & down to select “Reboot” then press power.
Wait for Android to fully boot and it will be in Chinese. It’s easy to change if you know Android. Click the obvious setup prompts, then slide your finger down from the top right and click the cog, scroll down and you will see an icon that resembles language & Keyboard, select this then click the top option and scroll down and select your language. You should then set your keyboard and time zone. The above excerpt is, I believe, written by a user called Phillip by the way, i.e. not my work.

February 9, 2016 at 8:34 am #25506The thing is I’ve provided you with references to step by step instructions on a few occasions and I’ve even gone to the trouble of copying them into this thread, I’m not sure what’s to be gained by providing instructions again. Please check my last two posts.
