May 2, 2016 at 2:21 pm #35814That looks nasty, the impression I’m getting is once Chuwi have established a good rep for the Hi12, they change the manufacture process resulting in higher profit & lower quality.
May 2, 2016 at 4:33 pm #35824good reputation? ahahahahha
the first model of this tablet has got the highest DOA ever.
there is something lower than the bottom?
What I've used and what I've got:
TECLAST X98 AIR 3G, TECLAST X98 AIR II, TECLAST X98 PRO,CHUWI HI8, CHUWI HI12, CUBE I9May 2, 2016 at 4:43 pm #35826Yeah the more I read the worse it gets, glad I didn’t order one, now swinging towards the Teclast.
May 2, 2016 at 9:46 pm #35850I have two Chuwis hi12 from first sales and both are working perfectly. With keyboard the chuwi is like a real laptop. The worst part of this tablets is the internal construction and care that you must have with them to extend their lives like no charging while using them. I will buy more for my friends but the version of Win10 because I don’t want android system.
May 2, 2016 at 10:03 pm #35855I’m set on the Teclast X3 Pro now, 8gb Ram, 128 ssd.

no charging while using, do you think it is acceptable?
it’s a way to declare ‘hey we have got engineers that have put bios too close to cpu and it fried easily because the chip used is the cheapest one on the market. what we can do? change mb to our customers for free or new hw revision and say: don’t use while charging or for a long time with demanding apps? …. hell to customers we already have got their money’
mine chuwi hi12 is working good for now but remember it’s like a clock bomb.
and what about android for first hw revision?
on my box it’s declared dual os (see attached image)… up to now no news about bios upgrade and android image and on chuwi international forum don’t want to answer to a simple question: what chuwi means by product discontinued? production or support? http://forum.chuwi.com/thread-1160-9-1.html

I am agree in all that you say friend. But we know that these are the risks that we take buying chinese tablets with low prices like this chuwis and I think the risk was worth it for now. I’ve been the most critical person of the lack of responsibility of chuwi’s company at the spanish forums, but it’s all alike to me while my tablets continue working. Sues Chinese courts are very expensive and they know it.
I hope that bios will stay alive but I am asking them if having 70 degrees during a time of gaming could damage the bios or not although I bought the tablet to work.
May 3, 2016 at 10:47 am #35903I just got my Hi12 dual boot and I’ve found the quality is the same as my Hi12 Windows 10 only model. So I have to disagree.
However, like most Chinese tablets it all depends on luck. Sometimes I have two of the same model, one is perfect and the other has slight defects like dust under the screen or not as well put together. It’s the luck of the Chinese tablet lottery. I’ve seen other video reviews of really shoddy Hi12’s that have loose batteries and the screens aren’t straight, I’ve been lucky so far with my two units are good apart from the speaker hiss/static which is still present on my new Hi12 Dual OS. And some people say they have perfectly clear static free speakers (Again down to luck!)

Currently testing: LG G8X & Redmi K30May 3, 2016 at 9:12 pm #35962And @Chris g ,Is there any known form to remove that annoying beep ? I have that problem with one of the two chuwis I bought (the gray, because the gold one is for my sister and her tablet works without problems) and it drives me crazy when I use helmets during reproduction of films, music or videogames in my tablet :(. That is the problem that bothers me next to the lags with the videos at google chrome like using YOMVI for example.
Thanks
May 3, 2016 at 10:32 pm #35978@disquitopower Beep? What beep is this? Or do you mean the static noise over the speakers?

Currently testing: LG G8X & Redmi K30May 4, 2016 at 2:00 am #35988I received my dual boot hi12 yesterday and it seem fine to me…. Have not seen the win10 only hi12 but I’m pretty satisfied with mine. I think it’s pretty ok for it’s price. There’s some flex at the edges and the keyboard has the same loose screw in Chris video, but it works and i can use it for work and play. Dope.
May 4, 2016 at 6:16 am #36004@disquitopower Beep? What beep is this? Or do you mean the static noise over the speakers?
I hear a strange noise when I use the headphones like a faster and lower sharp beep as we heard with low brightness with the speakers. It’s really strange but I read that I’m not the only person with this strange problem. Anyways my ears will end up getting used to that xD. I am reading too that lags in google chrome is a usual problem with this processors… At the moment I am wrting this I received the email of Chuwi answering at my question of the 70 degrees while playing: “you must lower the temperature with a fan”, I don’t know whether to laugh or to cry 😀
May 4, 2016 at 3:37 pm #36045Hi, not good. I don’t have that noise just static that some people can’t even hear. But I can 🙂
As for the 70 degrees, that doesn’t seem normal. I only get around 68 degrees max. And saying to use a fan on the tablet is crazy!

Currently testing: LG G8X & Redmi K30May 18, 2016 at 5:59 am #37786hi12 dual boot. digitizer failed. spontaneous shutdown. won’t charge. piece of absolute garbage. low price not worth the hassle. high return shipping basically exempts banggood from returns and exchanges. banggood sucks. tablet sucks. replaced with tab pro s from amazon. almost 5x price but it works plus i didnt wait a month to get it. 24hrs.
