You may have to install the adb and fastboot binaries
A minimal binary installer is here:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B1S0LCuXCnnmN1ZVVlpSdlRYME0/view?usp=sharingJuly 17, 2015 at 7:02 pm #7112If fastboot devices shows your tablet then download Mirek190’s V4 ROM.
It includes batch files to install the ROM using fastbootJuly 17, 2015 at 7:13 pm #7113Just and update, I can enter windows by pressing “Volume + and power” and then selecting Windows.
July 18, 2015 at 2:29 am #7119How can you tell if your bootloader is locked? i still cant update my c5j6, stops at 12% everytime. But if i reboot into recovery fastboot i can type fastboot usb and it shows my tablet. so i think maby i can update it though there?
July 18, 2015 at 10:43 am #7125Hi,
Thanks for the time you spend on this.
“fastboot devices” shows:
“BaytrailE34B53AB fastboot”In Device Manager it shows up as “Intel Android ADB Interface”
I’m not sure which batch to use in DnX mode, I have these batch files:
FLASH from android – FORMAT DATA.bat
FLASH from android – NO DATA FORMAT.bat
FLASH from droidboot – NO DATA FORMAT.bat
FLASH from droidboot- FORMAT DATA.batFrom what I could read it is the “doidboot”.
The script: “FLASH from droidboot- FORMAT DATA.bat”
Gives this:
erasing ‘system’…
FAILED (remote: unknown command)
finished. total time: 0.010ssending ‘system’ (798924 KB)…
FAILED (remote: unknown command)
finished. total time: 69.171s
…..And just continues with more “Failed” messages.
Any advise? As mentioned, I can still boot to Windows, and from there all the Android partitions seems to be there.

Extract it to a folder on your PC
Disconnect your X98 from PC
Close MFT if running on system
Go to the folder and run
iSocUSB-Driver-Setup-1.2.0.exe
Let it install completely.
Connect your X98 to PC for 30 seconds
while still connected hold power button on X98 till it powers down
power X98 back up. Keep it connected another 30 seconds.
Disconnect X98
run IntelAndroidDrvSetup1.5.0.exe
Install adb drivers completely
run MFTConfig.bat
Make sure file is copied successfully
Launch MFT
select file to flash
Boot X98 into DnX mode
Connect to PC

July 18, 2015 at 7:14 pm #7151Hi,
I tried the steps, downloaded the new file, un-installed, and re-installed pr. the description.
But I get the same error.
I have tried it on 2 different sets of hardware, one with a fresh installation of windows, and I have tried different USB cables.
Could the device be faulty, or have I bricked it (I thought it was not bricked if you could get to DnX mode, or the Windows Installation on the device.)
On note, if I select repartition it stops at 5%, if I select any of the other choices it dies at 12% (just in case that makes sense).
July 18, 2015 at 7:40 pm #7154lassee,
It is not bricked. I was actually able to recreate and fix your issue on my system, so I know what causes it.
However, I have a really quick way for you to flash your tablet.
Try this:
1. Power up your tablet by holding the POWER and VOL – buttons until you see the droidboot screen, then release the buttons and connect it to your PC.
2. Browse to the MirekV4 folder and run one of the Flash from droidboot scripts. It should flash successfully.
July 18, 2015 at 7:47 pm #7155Let me know if it works for you.

Extract it to a folder on their PC.
Right click on the batch file and Run as administrator.
Then Try flashing with MFT normally
