Still no one that has a clue how to get the intel AHCI drivers on the intel platform?
I am surprised not more people have this issue. I wonder what can I do to solve it, because until then the laptop is only halfway working….

On my laptop which is still running the original install of windows it is using the the Microsoft Windows driver: 10.0.15063.608. That’s from 2006, which I’m betting is the same one you have installed.
October 16, 2017 at 8:46 pm #73466yes i do, the same 2006 one.
Ive tried the MSI registry edit, the prefetch and superfetch, the increasing of the pagefile….
I am getting tons of 153 and 129 errors in windows event log, but I dont really even need to look in the log, i can simply open task manager, do something disk intensive and see how my SSD is pegged at 100% with 0 read and 0 write and windows hanging until it starts working again

I’m experiencing the exact same issue at the moment. Did you ever find a fix? I’ve tried using the AHCI driver that was posted on win raid. https://www.win-raid.com/t3225f23-Intel-Apollo-Lake-N-SoC-AHCI-RST.html#msg45256
But when the driver is loaded I can’t see my SSD. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
January 16, 2018 at 5:43 pm #77066Hi.
For me this patched drivers worked with LiteONIT 128GB SSD and V5 Jumper. Only problem the R/W speed is not full, about 280/250. But i can boot from SSD both system (W10 and Ubuntu) with rEFInd. Try another driver from lenovo, russians says it is ok with Kingdian for example.

Thanks, John.
I think I’ve got it working by converting my disk to a dynamic disk. If the issue returns I will try out the Lenovo driver.

March 2, 2018 at 11:04 am #117140I want to report my experience with AHCI driver. I own a v6 ezbook. I made a benchmark with stock driver and modded driver v13.2.8.1002. This are the results!!! SSD is Kingspec 128gb.

do you think that updating the drivers ahci will work the kingdian 240gb? I have the problem that it is often not detected, and if it is detected it is very slow. I do not speak Russian, google translator suggests it.
p.s. the link to the lenovo drivers does not work

I want to test this as well. the Winraid-driver is slower with my ssd (and I can’t shut my system down, as long as it is installed),
