Hi there,
I recently bought a X98 3G (c5j6), supposely already with lollipop + windows 10, but if W10 is installed, android version is still 4.4.
In order to update and also “clear” some chinese apps (i’m portuguese so…), I came here as well xda forum in order to understand what should I do to flash.
The problem started with not being able to run MFT due to a dll extension.
After 1 hour around it, basically I installed ISOC drivers and then removed it and the MFT already open.
I e-installed everything again by the same order (without ISOC) and the program runs.
The issue is now that MFT doesn’t read the tablet meaning it charges de ROM but since it doesn’t detect the tablet, it cannot flash it.
Currently it’s impossible to do the same procedure on different pc.
Does anyone have an idea? … i’ve uninstalled , re-installed, change the vid and pids….nothing. it doesnt read the tablet…
Any ideas?
Thank you

September 25, 2015 at 1:07 pm #11907Thanks. I will try following that order.
The program is included on the tutorial but on a diferentes order (basically its the last thing to be installed).
I just havê one doubt.
Im able to put the tablet on dxn mode but this process only works if i have BIOS 2.0? Because i wasnt able, yet, to confirm the BIOS of my tablet (i believe it may be 2.0 or higher since it has windows 10)

I have also recently purchased C5J6 and it worked so most probably it would work with your C5J6 also.
September 26, 2015 at 9:08 am #11957No luck… 🙁
Cant understand why thishappens.
>The dnx mode only says Waiting for boot command while the MFT doesnt upload anything…</span>
Is there a way of flashing starting from the tablet without affecting windows10 (which is already updated, with office installed,…)?
September 26, 2015 at 2:12 pm #11964Well, after installing MFT on a second computer, it still doesnt work.
As i believe the tutorial is quite easy to follow and im not doing something wrong… Its really strange why the MFT/flashboot command dont run.
September 27, 2015 at 11:44 pm #12010There is an Intel driver coming with the mft which you have to install. The problem is that Intel driver version doesn’t work with newer windows. The version coming with the mft zip file is 1.0.5 if I remember correctly. Search for the driver with the same name but version 1.0.9 and install that one. You should not have problem with mft anymore.
September 28, 2015 at 8:57 am #12022Thanks.
I will give it a go.
PS. Regarding BIOS, this version already has 2.05. Unfortunately it doesnt allow to vhange os only by reboot (you need to Power off and then Power on)
September 28, 2015 at 8:02 pm #12089do you know the name of the driver?
because intel driver is 1.10 version :s
September 28, 2015 at 8:10 pm #12090Yes that one, intelandroiddrvsetup 1.10.0 and isocusb driver setup 1.2.0. Then mft 6.0.43
September 28, 2015 at 9:09 pm #12096ahhggrrr—almost cutting my wrists.
drivers installed by correct order – check
pc rebooted just in case – check
tablet depuration usb mode on and programmer mode on – check
antivirus not running to avoid any issues – check
vid + pid uptaded to the right values – check
dnx mode activated – check
but still not running, impressive :p
I even tried a bat file from Mirek rom that supposedly runs on windows pc connected to the tablet on.
when reaches the final step saying “Daemon running” it just stucks there
September 28, 2015 at 9:20 pm #12097Finally have lollipop
Was able to use mirek bat program under droidboot mode.
after 2 days trying, finally made it with sucess.
by the way, does anyone knows if bios 2.05 suffers from any issue like the previous versions where there were thermal events and some other issues?
Edit: Forgot to thank you for the help.
September 28, 2015 at 9:30 pm #12098Glad that it helped a little. Just in case someone else has the same problem… Did you move your user profile from default folder on c: to somewhere else? I also had problems with that where “desktop” folder should be in default directory.
I bought my tab newly so I also have 2.05. II don’t have any problems with thermal nor battery usage under Windows sleep mode.

Glad you made it! I myself just kept on going at it until the thing just decided to finally install.
Thermal issues are now gone however the time resetting in Android and Windows is still there. Battery drains way too fast.
September 29, 2015 at 7:01 am #12122Nop. On the laptop, everything was installed from a folder directly on c:
When connecting the tab powered on with laptop, it has always been recognized…
Cant explain why it didnt work with MFT…
For those having the same problem and just want to update android os, i clearly suggest Mirek rom using the bat file in droidboot mode
