You need to use MFT and select one of the 2 new XML files I have made to flash
August 3, 2015 at 8:26 pm #8400Nice work, going to test it out now.
Edit: Works well flashed no problems this time around! I just dropped those 3 files into the folder and used flash wipe as we are coming from 4.4.4 to 5.0 it’s better to do a wipe. First boot takes a while and you get “stuck” on the Intel inside logo for some time, I thought it was a boot loop.

Next up for review:
Ordered and waiting for my: BMAX S15 & Teclast F6 Plus
Currently testing: LG G8X & Redmi K30August 3, 2015 at 10:31 pm #8416Tip: Search for the World / globe icon to change the language from Chinese took me a few minutes to find it lol.
Plenty of bloat, 80% can be removed by the user. And the ROM is smooth and runs well.

Currently testing: LG G8X & Redmi K30August 3, 2015 at 11:16 pm #8419It runs very fast as well. I rooted the ROM and got SuperSU functional, then removed all bloat and installed a proper busybox.
I am already in the high 36,000s in Antutu. This ROM is definitely nice.
Let me know if anyone wants the rooted, debloated system.img

Hey Randy, I might take you up on your offer of a rooted ROM. I just upgraded my C5J6 from stock to Mirek 4.2 and like it except for the Volume which is WAY TOO LOUD to watch videos using headphones. I am sure there must be a fix but in case there are not I would love to put ypour ROM on as I am not yet skilled in rooting etc.
If you have an opnion on Mirek v Android 5 I would be interested and if anyone knows how to reduce the headphone volume (Viper4Android setting?) I would be very interested!

August 4, 2015 at 5:08 am #8462Ok, here it is:
Teclast X98 Air 3G Android 5.0 final release.
The following mods have been made to this release:
XML files and droidboot.img file modified so it will flash successfully using Intel Manufacturing Flash Tool with standard settings.
System image has been rooted. Latest version of SuperSU has been installed and multiple contingency files installed to insure SuperSU will not lose root.
Busybox has also been installed. All Chinese bloat has been removed as far as I can tell.
Enjoy !!

Maybe its because of the Rom is for 3g?LEVD
August 4, 2015 at 4:11 pm #8509I have the same problem as levd, Randy’s rom fails flashing every time, while the original chinese one has no problems
