What’s the seller’s name ? You should open a dispute immediately and complain that they didn’t send you a US plug, and that they are trying to force you to buy other things in order for them to send you the correct plug. Make sure that you add evidence to the dispute so that aliexpress can review it.
And then hope for the best…
You should also open a new thread in the “General” > “Online retailers …..”-sub-forum. Add AliExpress + the name of the seller/shop in the thread title and a small description of the issue so that everyone can easily identify the seller as one to avoid. Then add as many details about your experience in the first post, and provide as many evidence as you can (including photos, screenshots from messages, etc. …), and add updates when you have new related information.
December 28, 2015 at 9:25 pm #20260VC Lemon…. Thing is, if I dispute it for the charger, then what happens if the tablet turns out to be defective? I can’t open anymore dispute for that order….
December 28, 2015 at 9:55 pm #20261Well, then why don’t you test the tablet to see if it works or not ???

Umm, I did?
Sometimes the screen goes black, but it’s still on. I had to force shut down in order to turn it back on. One time, half of the screen turned off (completely off, no backlight like when it went black previously), so I was only able to see the left half of the screen and of course, restarting fixed it…. Afterward, I did a clean install of Windows 10 x64 and installed drivers provided by Pascal. Charging is a bit slow, but I’m not too concerned about that. When I use a USB 3.0 flash drive and moved some files through USB 3 port, it was going at around 50MB/s, then halfway after 15 seconds, it pauses, shoots down to 450ish KB/s, then tablet shuts off completely…. Happens a few times, so I just settled for using with USB 2 port… My monitor won’t auto rotate like it did with stock OS
from Chuwi. I ordered from aliexpress, which has not been pleasant… They shipped me an EU plug when the address is clearly in United States, I told them, they said they’ll send me a USA plug if I buy something from their store… I tried buying their cheapest stuff, they said to order something else besides accessories… Which is crazy because everything else are tablets costing $100+. I’m suppose to shell out $100+ for a mistake they did??Then, I brought up the issues I had with it, they said to return it and told me to pay for shipping, wtf? Are you serious?December 28, 2015 at 11:28 pm #20272I just received my Hi10 and I’m already noticing a few issues. My screen also goes black at random times. It seems like it might be when I hold it – like applying pressure on certain areas will do it. It happened once while I was watching a YouTube video and the audio kept going while the screen was black. I couldn’t get the screen back on until it just reappeared – the video still playing but the lock screen popped up. Very strange. I am also noticing that internet speeds are really slow. I will get less than 10 mbps while my phone is getting 45 – 60. I tried updating the driver for the network card but it said it was up to date. Any thoughts on how to fix these issues? Thanks in advance!
December 28, 2015 at 11:31 pm #20273Open a chat session with aliexpress and see what they say. It is possible that the sales terms have a clause that states that you have to pay for return shipping, so check everything thoroughly. And have your dispute number and order number number ready so that aliexpress can review the information and give you advice on how to proceed.
December 29, 2015 at 12:20 am #20275Recently I have got the same problem and one of their employees replied :
“my friend, please do not open dispute, it is not a good way to solve the problem, i have confirm to the chuwi factory they will make a software and later you try flash with the new software the problem will be solved, please understand-susan”
Let’s hope this flash thing will fix our issues.

Let’s also hope that the flash will be provided BEFORE the return period, yes?
December 29, 2015 at 4:41 am #20303I figured out why my screen turns black. It is the case! I bought the bundle with the standard case, no keyboard. That case has magnets (I believe) that are supposed to turn your screen off when closed. Well, when you have the case open and folded behind the Chuwi, it still has a strong enough force to shut off the screen through the tablet. Maybe this happens because the Hi10 has a light, plastic design? Anyway, pulling the cover away from the back of the tablet even a centimeter will get the screen back on. I’ve tested this over and over and I know that’s what did it for me. It’s just poor implementation of the design of the hardware but not that big of an issue. I doubt software can fix this but at least I know what the problem is and how to avoid it.
December 29, 2015 at 5:51 am #20311Then how come people can still use the tablet with the same case ???
‘Magnets affect non-shielded mechanical hard drives, TV tubes and VHS tapes. When it comes to IPS screens, flash memory and capacitive input screens, magnets should have no effect on them.’ scientific source lol
December 29, 2015 at 6:54 am #20320I wonder if they have the same case and if they are closing the case completely on the back. For me, it only happens when I have the tablet completely flat against the case. I think magnets won’t affect an IPS screen negatively like your quote above but there are tablets that have magnetic covers built in as a feature so that when the lid closes, it turns your screen off. I’ve had this on all of the Samsung Tabs and covers I’ve owned. The only difference is that I don’t think the Hi10 is properly shielded from those magnets through the casing.
I should also note that I did also run into the problem where half my screen turned black and that was unrelated to the case. It happened when I downloaded the Netflix app and started watching a video. It wasn’t that half of the screen didn’t work – because I could still hit the start button and have icons pop up. The app just decided to use half the screen for some strange reason. Hopefully this stuff gets sorted out in bug fixes.
December 29, 2015 at 8:08 am #20330Don’t open a dispute just for the charger if you want to keep the device otherwise. Adapters cost nothing, here is one example:
I am using that the other way around, I use several devices with US plug here in Europe (things I ordered online, including the laptop I am using right now to type this response). Just check the charger if 110 V is in its range (usually they cover something like 110-240V) as EU current has 230 volts.

We’re talking about two separate things here – many tablet type devices have a specific magnetic field sensor built into the bezel that activates as a “sleep mode” switch when it detects a magnet in proximity (from a cover flap/lid etc).
That’s different from “interference” issues from magnetic fields distorting old-style CRT monitor pictures and write errors on traditional spinning hard disks etc. which, as you say, aren’t relevant to IPS screens or flash storage media. The issue would seem to be an overly sensitive magnetic sleep sensor in the bezel and/or an overly strong magnet in the cover, exacerbated by the Hi10 construction being lightweight plastic so any magnetic field will pass through it unhindered, whereas a construction with more metal in it would moderate the field somewhat.

That would be such a big fail from the factory not to test such things properly, but how do you clarify that when I put in the charger the charging light doesnt blink up ????

Yes, “please do not open a dispute, it’s not a good way to solve a problem“, but when you send messages and try to do it the good/civilized way then they don’t answer and give you the middle finger as part of their “after-sales customer service”…
TYPICAL PR strategy/behavior from sellers who think that they can get away with customer-unfriendly service and behavior… 🙁 🙁 🙁
