Need help on issues with Hi10

Sounds like the TechTablets community found a serious flaw/design fault in Chuwi’s Hi10 tablet when used in conjunction with magnetic cover cases…

i would bet that’s not a serious flaw but the intented behaviour. the tablet is intented to be used with the official dock, which probably has magnets that trigger the shutoff when you close it

OHHHH nevermind, just finished watching the rest of the video. Yeah, it’s not suppose to shut device off if the cover is in the back. Luckily mine didn’t have that issue.

Yeah okay, nevermind again. I just tested it again, it does shut off as well. Fucking Chuwi man….

I also requested that they extend my buyer protection and they accepted. It was extended by 30 days.  So, if you guys have the issue (which I think everyone does since it seems more like a hardware issue) I’d suggest you extend.  Maybe we can get partial refunds or something because I doubt it will be fixed.

….How can it be solved with software? Isn’t it a hardware issue? I think I can solve mine by just putting a thin layer of steel behind my tablet.

I doubt it will be solved with software.  One possible “fix” they may employ is to turn off the feature altogether so that when your case closes, it won’t automatically turn off the screen.  That’s the only thing I can think of.  What I do to not encounter the issue is to fold the extra flap on the cover inward so that it adds extra thickness and blocks the magnets a bit.  I don’t usually have problems when I do that.  But, yeah, if you just add a little extra space, it would solve the issue.  I can’t believe Chuwi didn’t test it first.  They did make the case after all since it has their branding on it.

My screen went completely black and i don’t know how to get it back on. At first i thought maybe i ran out of battery. But i charged out and still nothing. How do i get it back. And no i don’t have a magnet case. I have no case. I haven’t even had it a week.

Need more info… When you plug in charger, does the light blink on the corner? Were you able to turn it on before? What were you doing when it shut off?

Just received my flip case and it exhibits the the same magnet issue when folded back.
