When I received my dual boot Onda v919, Windows (8.1 with Bing) was in Chinese. I managed to put it in English before downloading the French traduction (as I’m French).
Go to the control panel (charms bar, click on the gear and then the second text line). Once in the Control panel, you’ve got a “language” section, where you should find the option to put it in English…

June 23, 2015 at 4:35 am #6139had tried it many times. Put it in English and still doesn’t work. It says English is not usable in this version of OS.
June 23, 2015 at 7:58 am #6141My Chuwi vi10 partitions are deleted. I must re-install it Windows8 and Android. but I can not find any guide nor any help
June 23, 2015 at 3:16 pm #6152I installed it with Win8.1 Pro and got touch screen issue, which render its touch function virtually useless (touch register in wrong places and all). Until this issue fixed, I’d suggest staying with the chinese edition (at least touch works)
I contacted the Aliexpress seller about the Chinese Windows and he/she promised to send me a link to video about how to change display language into English. I am not too sure it will work though, because I spent like a whole day just to figure out how to change the display language and I just couldn’t.
Someone at Stack Overflow talked about installing target language pack and then uninstalling chinese language pack that comes with Chuwi Vi10 in order to force that Windows SL Edition to display the desired language. Some succeeded, but other users got their tablet bricked because of that trick.
I’m gonna sit this for a while I guess. Too much software hassle on otherwise perfect tablet. 🙁
June 25, 2015 at 5:51 am #6194Hi, for the Vi10 owner that get the OS in Chinese, where did you bought tablets from?
I have no problem with my Vi10, everything come in English and i successfully activated the Windows from my country (Indonesia).@Adithya Bagus,
Halo mas, do you install Windows 8.1 Pro to replace the Bing version ones? Do you mind to create a tutorial on how to install it?
Regarding touchscreen issues, have you tried to install gyro/compass sensor driver? i read somewhere in this site that it is affecting touchscren sensor.June 26, 2015 at 4:10 am #6200Hi, for the Vi10 owner that get the OS in Chinese, where did you bought tablets from?

Still no success installing windows 8.1 Pro since the touch problem is there. Installing is pretty straightforward. Just boot from USB and you’re good to go.
Regarding touch in Win 8.1 Pro, someone told me that probably it’s registry related issue, as I have tried install-reinstall driver bazillion of times, over multiple trick and touch still doesn’t work.
Right now I’m running windows with bing (international version) from the image most likely downloaded from Chuwi BBS. Running fine, but I can’t activate it. I suspect that my BIOS key is for activating the Chinese one. Still puzzled, but glad touch work.
May I know your Vi10 Product Serial Number? its located on the metal ribbon.
Mine have 5050xxxx series
June 29, 2015 at 11:22 pm #6348I fixed the touch problem but I deleted the android partition in the process; so if you want to keep android I would not suggest trying the steps I took. I am working on a youtube video, I will post the link today or tomorrow.

July 9, 2015 at 3:54 pm #6718You need to download the Chuwi Vi10 Android files and windows image and WINRE here: http://techtablets.com/chuwi-vi10/downloads/. First flash Android and then Windows. If you still have Android and just want to reflash Windows. Just download the Windows images part1 and part 2. USB1 is named WINRE and format it fat32 copy all of the folder from USB1 to the root of the fat32 memory stick, the other place the USB2 images folder in it and make sure its NTFS.
boot into the bios (esc button on boot) and then the boot menu and load the WINPE usb drive you made, it will then do the rest. Takesa bout 15 minutes and mine was activated one setup.
This is the image with English and Chinese. The Overseas model Chuwi call it. MY serial ends in 16XX over 1200 I think is the overseas model. Anyway this is the English image you’ll need anyway, if your model us a domestic Chinese on and your seller install English on the 8.1 Bing image, it might not active! But install Windows 10 and it will activate it.
