September 6, 2016 at 8:44 am #49005Im having similar annoying problems but also getting
-random shutoffs when playing video
-USB ports dont like some flash drives causing random shutdown ,particularly my sandisk extreme 64GB
NINO: When you reinstalled windows 10 did you use ezbook original image or generic windows 10 image
September 6, 2016 at 8:46 am #49006I used generic image created with mediatool from microsoft’s website
September 6, 2016 at 7:48 pm #49058This even fixed the webcam issue? What about the drivers? Windows finds them itself?
September 7, 2016 at 7:52 am #49087Nino: seeing that a clean install fixes all the issues is a good sign! But as others have asked, did the clean install also help locate all the drivers?
Did you run into any issues post clean installation?
September 7, 2016 at 8:06 am #49088Do you need to backup your drivers first! Then do a clean install w10 and install your driver backuped.
Use the software “double driver” to backup drivers.
Actually the only issue that I have is that I can’t powerup external usb HDD for not enough power from usb port. I don’t know if this issue will be fixed.
To disable pinch-to-zoom read my post: http://techtablets.com/forum/topic/soft-solution-to-disableoverride-touchpad-windows-gestures/page/3/#post-48603
September 7, 2016 at 10:16 am #49093Oddly enough, my unit can power external hdd.
But now I’m lost because I went ahead and made a usb stick with media creation kit from microsoft and installed a clean windows home English.
The system booted, connected to internet, the trackpad worked, but there were still chinese optional features in the system. Not so clean install after all? Everything seems to work, so the drivers must have migrated somehow?
September 7, 2016 at 10:29 am #49094go to settings-tablet mode on the left.
I have installed italian w10 and I have not any chinese stuff there
September 7, 2016 at 10:43 am #49097Yes, I have disabled the tablet mode, but the chinese stuff is still there and the webcam is still warm all the time. oh… on the bright side external hdds are powerable.
September 7, 2016 at 10:45 am #49098I have no issues with webcam. It is hot but it works, so it’s ok for me. Bright side?
September 7, 2016 at 2:08 pm #49109My webcam works too, but its hot even when not working and on standby, it drains battery. “On the bright side” is an expression. In this context it means that even though the web cam is hot all the time, the hdds are working properly and this is good ))
September 28, 2016 at 6:44 pm #51468I solved all those problems installing a clean windows 10 with lastes updates
Unfortunately this didn’t work for me. A clean install of Windows 10 Home using Windows Media Creation Tool (http://www.thewindowsclub.com/windows-10-media-creation-tool-create-installation-media-upgrade) worked well, but track pad issues remain, e.g. can’t disable any of the gestures. My only real complaint is not being able to turn off ‘Allow taps on the touchpad’. Turning this off doesn’t matter which makes using the track pad very annoying – the slightest touch of your fingertip registers as a tap.
Other than that the track pad is nice – fluid and responsive. I guess it’s a driver issue? The track pad has no manufacturer listed so I can’t try loading a specific driver to replace the generic Microsoft driver. Anyone come up with other solutions?
September 29, 2016 at 7:44 am #51639go here to disable gesture: http://techtablets.com/forum/topic/soft-solution-to-disableoverride-touchpad-windows-gestures/page/3/#post-48603
September 29, 2016 at 2:47 pm #52020grazie Nino, but I already read that thread and it doesn’t apply to my situation. I don’t care to remove gestures, I want to disable ‘Allow taps on the touchpad’. There isn’t a windows 10 shortcut for this that I can use to disable tap using the ‘SOFT’ solution in that thread.
I’m still thinking this whole problem – disabling touch pad features under Settings > Mouse & touchpad > Touchpad doesn’t disable anything – is a driver issue. I’d rather not turn off the touch pad entirely and use a mouse, but at this point I have no other options.
I’m going to keep exploring the driver as the problem, however.
May 28, 2017 at 1:15 pm #67525Hello, I am having the same problem with the touchpad that is driving me crazy.
Wenn I click on “Allow taps on the touchpad” the switch goes on and off, but the taps are still working.
The switch “Leave touchpad on when mouse is connected” also has no effect. It shows “mouse is connected” but still touchpad is on.
The only switch das has effect is “Touchpad on/off”
I’d rather not turn off the touch pad entirely and use a mouse, but at this point I have no other options.
Kyle and others, did you find a solution to this? Everything else is working good, well is a bit slow sometime but ok…
Thank you guys
