Thanks for responding. Windows seems a lot better which is a relief since that suggests a software issue rather than faulty hardware. Hopefully we will get an Android update or Custom ROM in future.

Interested to see how others are doing with battery on the tablet (which I’ve found great apart from the battery problem!)

So far, I’ve found the tbook 10 to be a nice addition to my collection of devices! I’ve an iPhone SE, i7 gaming monster of a laptop and this little bad boy but…

Simply put, the battery life leaves a lot to be desired thus far. It seems to be improving as the days have gone by but it is nowhere near as efficient as my new iPhone.. Hopefully the keyboard can improve this to be a bit more acceptable.

I just did a report with HWInfo, and here is the result about the Battery :

    Battery #0 —————————————————————-

    [General Properties]
    Device Name: Intel Battery
    Manufacturer Name: Intel Corp
    Manufacture Date: 10-29-2014
    Serial Number: 1122
    Unique ID: BattMiniery0000
    Chemistry: Lithium Ion
    Cycle Count: 20713
    [Current Power Status]
    Power Status: Discharging
    Current Voltage: 3.625 V

So I think the battery got 20713 cycle count, so it seams it’s an old battery, and seams to be in use since 2014 …
    What do you think ?
Can someone do a report too with HWInfo on Windows ?

Btw I used my tablet today, this morning on Android, my Battery Level was stuck at 21%, so I switched to Windows, it goes down and then I recharged the TBook, and tonight, it was still stuck at 21% after a full recharging and 2 hours of use

Weirdly enough, my battery shows the same specs with 20720 cycles.

I think it could be a battery calibration issue. I was using mine yesterday evening and it was running down fairly steadily until it 21% where it remained for a while. Picked it up this morning and it was still at 21% but running ok. Will keep an eye on it and see how it pans out.

I think you’re right, I calibrated Windows battery and I used the tablet on Windows for a long time, except watching a serie, took me 20% for 45min of video, maybe a VLC issue

This night I calibrated my Android system, yesterday I was playing Monopoly on Android and the battery was stuck at 7% for 1 hour, so we just have to calibrate properly the battery and it should be fine, btw keyboard will add some extra time too

Got my device for 3 days now and yes battery consumption is worse than on my samsung tablets. But they offer superior energy control software (for example you can set processor usability seperated from background internet traffic).

Generally the screen of the tbook 10 is very bright. the intel processor maybe to powerfull for android? If I set screen brightness to 25 or 30 % in android it is still very bright. Also I found under battery, settings advanced, the saving mode which does limit the background internet traffic. I also generally have gsp and bluetooth off, when I don’t use them. android seem to be good for more than 6 hours, but clearly less long than my previous samsung devices, which all were more expensive, on the other side 😉
In windows I activated power-saving and set screen brightness to 35 %.  (both in the notification bar on the right). Also I activate suspend, when not using it.

I look forward to get my battery keyboard, to extend off the grid working time.

I found, that you could really consider the charger which comes with the tbook 10, a power- or quick-charging solution. As all my other devices use usb-chargers 5V 2A. This charger has 9V and it charges very very fast 😉

I find the battery drain shocking.

I still don’t have working wifi, don’t know if that might influence the drain very much. But in Windows, that battery drain overnight. Perhaps because the tbook is constant looking for wifi… But it doesn’t look promising for when finally get the wifi to work.

I use android a lot more than windows (had to reinstall windows yesterday, after the startmenu bug hit me, which is not teclast specific). But I think, battery saving works much better in windows. Also windows seems to go to sleep mode even with the power-adapter plugged in. Generally Windows-Supend mode has fooled me a lot of times where I thought my tbook had died, but was only in suspend mode. The number of seconds pressing the powerbutton for suspend-recovery and for rebooting seems to be rather the same.

Also the android battery saving mode causes a lot of apps to malfunction, sometimes even crash. Because they are not allowed to do background internet-datatransfer.
I today canceled my repeatedly backordered keyboard @geekbuying and ordered an in stock item @aliexpress. There is a discount currently (55 usd). So I look forward to have improved battery life with the extended battery of the keyboard. Maybe the keyboard has usb 3.0, which might allow for a docking solution.  – We will find out.

It’s only got a tiny battery in the tablet, so the battery life is very bad without the keyboard which has another 4000mah I think. So it’s a must really to have that keyboard which isn’t even available yet! I’ll be moving over to fully review the Tbook 10 soon, so keep an eye on the YT channel if interested.

The dock should have USB 3, I certainly hope so!

I am very disappointed with this tablet.

Autonomy is really bad and the battery poorly calibrated with completely false numbers.

The wifi signal is very poor.

And the most annoying issue ,the android part is very bad , after leaving it in standby mode for a night , the tandroid partition seems to be bricked , I Have now a bootloop when starting Android.

    Windows partition is OK.

I would not recommand it to anyone.

It seems it will take some time to get this keyboard. There is no review around. I got this frustrating experience where I cancelled my keyboard because of repeated backordering at the store which I like a lot (geekbuying) because I wanted to order at one of 2 aliexpress stores saying they have it in stock. -> Only to find, that they lied opon the stock information und refuse to cancel my order now (QH-Store). They also state, that there is a quality issue with the keyboard and the manufacturer could deliver by the end of june.

I have exactely the same count 20713 using HWInfo. So I think it’s can’t be true (same cycles count in different batteries) and suppose to be a software issue. My battery works in about the same way – better lifetime on Win10 and pretty fast discharge using Android. After discharging to 7% – working very long on it (up to 2 hrs) and when fast drop to under 5% and switching off. I made battery calibration using android app, after that – this long-lasting phase moved to 21%. 🙂
