I don’t know, probably not. Mine came already with v1.08_20160603.

But you can always flash the v1.08 ROM first and then root it. You can download  the update from the manufacture’s website (instructions above) and google translate the guide they provide with the files.

I had a problem. Root worked, but my 16Gb SD card only recognizes 0.89Gb on the Tablet. And Also the message to update the SuperSU binaries did not disappear

Sorry for the late reply. SuperSU released an update after I made the files. I’m going to make a new rar with the newer binaries (I’ll replace the above link).

The SD thing , unfortunately seems to be a widespread “defect” of the product line. Root or not.
