July 31, 2016 at 11:30 am #45175Hey folks,
I ordered the Plus II too. My observation to the poor wifi speed under Android: when I start a speed test the first time, I only get ~ 4 MBit/s downstream. At the next tests I receive constantly 15 MBit/s. edit: youtube is very often still damn slow.
Under Win 10 I have another bad problem: Very often one speaker has a crackling background noise (a bit similar to this video https://youtu.be/wGMlLjye-64?t=70 at 1:12 min). It seems to depend on the CPU use and the I/O use. During Windows updates this crackling noise is there all the time. During an Antutu benchmark nothing happened. When I press a hardware button the sound disappears for some seconds. Any ideas?
RMA would be bad due to high shipping costs :-/

July 31, 2016 at 3:11 pm #45193Hi everyone!
Can someone upload the “TouchSettings.gt” file from the Windows/INF directory?
I reinstalled Windows10 in a new Plus II (C2D4) and I forgot to backup this file, now touchscreen is weird and I cannot calibrate it neither (I’ve tried with mine from x98Pro and from an another AC67 and they didn’t worked properly).
This file isn’t inside the dirvers .zip of this site 🙁
Thanks!

August 3, 2016 at 12:17 pm #45453Hi,
Does anyone have the stockrom v1.03?
Yesterday my OTA update finally got in. I ran the update and the most stupid thing happend.
Runnung the update gave me a message: this update is for X98 Plus ii (C2D4) you have X98 Plus (C2D4), the update failed!!
So I decided to install the ROM version 1.05 as a update described in the pdf manual from the official site. Tablet in DNX mode and……..fail!!
Intel flash tool said: I don know how to reboot this device?? Ok, no problem but weird.
So in a terminal I entered: fastboot boot (path to) loader.efi, that did the trick. Now I can flash.
After that a factory-reset e voila.
But now there is a problem, If I connect to my PC with USB-cable nothing happens, the tablet isn’t seen!!
I had version v1.03 rooted but now this isn’t possible anymore because the tablet doesn’t connect to my PC which means I can’t perform ADB commands!!
Anyone with v1.05 have the same problem? Should I flash as recovery instead of update? That means I will lose Win10?
Any help appreciated
August 3, 2016 at 9:42 pm #45508Maybe a working Wifi fix! Testing…
Hey guys, after the well known wifi issues / dropout´s I´m still testing the following driver and registry hack on Win10.
First check if you have the original Driver version 3008.28.201.2016 date 22.02.2016 installed. Then regedit:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{4D36E972-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002bE10318}\000X
(X may be one of 0 / 1 / 2 … )
Search for and change the value of bLeisurePs from 2 to 0.
Then disable and re-enable the wireless interface in Device Manager. The bLeisurePs = 0 should stop the driver to go into idle mode.
Maybe thebattery is more needed? But till now it seems that the WiFi is working without dropouts.
Still testing a view more days.By the way, Is your Speaker volume on Win10 to low.
Try the Intel HD Audio driver of Microsoft´s Surface 3.

Yes, that will work and boost your Volume. 😉As always do it on your own risk.
Greetings from Germany
