Try a different charger and cable.
September 30, 2015 at 2:35 pm #12211Hello,

September 30, 2015 at 10:16 pm #12270and you tried a different cable of a different brand and shorter length?
October 1, 2015 at 6:15 am #12289Shorter length cable, no i haven’t tried that, but the charger is ok, i can charge other devices with this charger and the usb cable i used is only about 0.4 m. The strange thing is, that everything worked normal until i wanted to reboot and now there is no life sign anymore… it must be some kind of software bug or the bootloader is broken.
October 4, 2015 at 2:05 pm #12564I just received my x98 pro dual boot yesterday, seems like mine too has bricked. I was using windows at the time, and suddenly the screen blacked off. I tried to turn it on but it didnt and also tried it with the vol buttons but no progress -.-
I saw a couple of queries posted here and there regarding this issue but solution was nowhere to be found 🙁
I hope we find it soon.
ps changing cable did not help
October 7, 2015 at 7:13 am #12749perhaps you could open up your tablet (carefully) and use a multimeter to check the voltage of the battery (the solder joints for the battery are under a small piece of black tape, if it’s below 2.8 volts, your battery is dead and you should ask for a refund, while asking for a refund, make sure you have a picture of the battery voltage you can send to the seller if needed
October 7, 2015 at 11:23 am #12783I contacted the Aliexpress seller, i can send it back and they will give me a refund (hopefully! ) So i will not try to open it, but it would be interesting to find out what caused this Problem! Maybe it’s “only” the Battery, there are some huge differences in the battery performance from what i read in other forum threads.
October 15, 2015 at 9:27 pm #13317Hi
Go through the newer posts, I posted a similar issue (black screen) and there is also a post about battery life. I think they all are related to driver problems. While typing I just went to intel.com/support/win10.htm like one of the post suggested, got the tool from there and did the update. My graphic driver is updated now. My screen was flickering also and I got frequent black screens
It takes a lot of power button pressing and holding but it will boot and DONT FORGET TO PUT IT ON THE CHARGER it seems to have to do with the battery being below 50percent. I’ve seen toninght so many with the same problem… Tablets come from anywhere, aliexpress gearbest etc. Same problem. It must be a driver issue.
October 16, 2015 at 8:07 am #13351am still investigating the problem, have it also. Its not happing in Android so that may be good news: it might just be a driver.
Only if I knew which… 40% battery in Windows and POOF its gone. Getting it back on is a tremendous task but I succeed every time. Connect charger and charge and hasle around with powerbutton. Keep u posted. Am now going to try the Asus driver suggestion from elsewhere on the forum. Intel update tool updated the graphic driver but it did not help
December 10, 2015 at 6:38 pm #18137Hi guys, I am facing the same problem. Yesterday I updated to BIOS 1.13, I plugged the charger, show the charging animation and left it all night to charge.
This morning i would not boot or even charge! I took the tablet with me at work and I tried to charge it through a pc usb, during random times I pressed every possible combination of the buttons while plugged and not plugged. I came back home, plugged it to charger and still no charging animation. I tried different cables and different chargers, still nothing.
Any ideas?

Press power button for a few seconds, hold the tablet close to your ear, check if you hear a high pitched noise coming from the battery. Some people here has seen that and when that happens tablet refuses to power on. In my case holding the power button for more than one minute makes the noise stop and then the tablet boots.
By the way, it’s not a driver problem, but an electrical one. The battery circuit is not correctly implemented and this thing does not behave as one expects. It does not charge when plugged in, it shows that it is plugged-in when it is not, it does not power on even when the battery is charged or it is connected to a charger…
December 10, 2015 at 7:19 pm #18140No high pitched sound. and I tried keeping the power button and every other possible button combination with or without the cable for more than a minute…
I have a k9c6 model
December 11, 2015 at 8:58 am #18169Same on my K9C6 Model. It is completely dead after a flickering screen on Windows.
I try to press various combinations of buttons for minutes with plugged it in a charger and without. It would not turn on at all. When I use an USB detector when I put it in the charger it seems to load. But the tablet shows no loading screen at all. Has anyone tried to open the tablet and find the error?
Here is another thread about this problem: http://techtablets.com/forum/topic/turned-off-and-wont-turn-on/#post-16654
I send mine back to the seller and they send me a new one. I hope I get it soon. But I am not sure if the seller gets mine. I send another doa tablet to China and it comes after 15 day back to me, because it is not allowed to transport the integrated lithium battery…
