I used the free MiniTool Partition Wizard app which has “Migrate OS to SDD” function and this worked fine!
December 25, 2016 at 10:46 am #59227Some feedback….I purchased a ZTC Armor 128GB 2240 SSD and tested it in my HP ProBook 6450b and got these speeds (JPEG attached). The ProBook has Intel Core i5 processor, but only a SATA2 bus. I haven’t tested the ZTC on a SATA3 bus device yet and will wait until I can before deciding if it is worth opening up my i7 Book! I’m also trying to get hold of a MyDigitalSSD 128GB Super Boot 2 SSD to try.

No problems with camera or Bluetooth?
January 14, 2017 at 10:47 am #60418Hello.
Finally got my m2 sata to usb adapter and I got to clone the original 64GB SSD to a Transcend 256GB using Macrium Reflect (process took about 7 mins).
I then opened the tablet for the first time to install the new SSD which was an ok process for a newbie, and the toughest part was the side with the USB ports etc (also be careful not to lose the little mesh for the speakers, one of them fell out and I saw it was missing just before I was about to close the tablet).
I added also just a thermal pad also (which seems to make a huge difference, did a PC Mark test and after 30 minutes max temp was 86 degrees Celsius compared to 100 that it had before) and then swapped the SSDs.
The Transcend one works much faster, as all 256GB do after all in comparison to the 128GB ones (that’s the reason I opted for the larger SSD).
The question that I have now, is it safe to expand the partition to use the unallocated space using windows disk management or should I just create another partition and be done with it?
EDIT: Got the front camera issue fixed by using drivers from this site a few times, suddenly it fixed itself.
I had the issue with the cameras also, I deleted the camera drivers and Intel Control Logic ones, now the back camera seems to work, but the front camera still doesn’t work. Any ideas what might be the problem with that one?January 19, 2017 at 1:30 pm #60674any suggestion how to clone the ssd via m.2 to usb adapter?
thanks

Just plug it to the USB of the tablet and use the same tool Windave used as he said it works.
February 9, 2017 at 9:44 pm #61946Do I need to clone my SSD if I buy new one? Or can I do just a fresh install?

You can do a fresh install if you prefer.
March 14, 2017 at 9:59 pm #63478Here is my benchmark on the Transcend 256 GB ssd with comparison to the original Foresee.
And for good measure I have also thrown in a benchmark score of the Netac P500 64 GB micro sdxc card.
Do we happen to have any reliable benchmarks for those ZTC and Mydigitalssd superboot drives?

I can summarize it though – run from it, run from it quickly!
June 12, 2017 at 9:39 am #68084Does 60mm long SSD (2260) fit, with modding? Asking because I have one already..
Edit: Does not fit, there is plastic subframe which should be cut and then maybe, but I’m not going to cut it.
October 23, 2017 at 6:14 am #73805So what about this ZTC ssd?

i had to use diskpart & reagentc to make windows recovery working from the new drive, other than that everything went smoothly
(if needed there are details on this page: https://superuser.com/questions/1514856/windows-10-lacks-partitions-and-winre-options)crystaldiskmark have similar results to the scrrenshot from the first post…
November 23, 2021 at 8:10 am #222182Hi. Just for the record i installed a new Transend 256GB in my Cube i7 Book and Windows 10 x64 gave me Blue Screens Of Death (BSOD) once a while. I thought that the 2242 SSD was faulty but i had an epiphany and upgraded its firmware and now works flawlessly…
