I’ve also experienced loud bursts of static in Windows but in my case it was associated with key press feedback from the on screen keyboard. When I plugged it into the keyboard dock and used physical keyboard there was no problem. So I went into the settings for the on screen keyboard and disabled as many of the feedback Settings as possible, then after a reboot it was fine again. I haven’t had the static for several days now but I can’t really confirm if it was the settings or just random coincidence.
July 2, 2016 at 7:49 am #42458Many thanks for mentioning Bill. I have uninstalled Autohotkey and that seemed to have been the culprit. Static is gone (for now!). I guess the cpu has had a hard time keeping up too many processes going on while multitasking. Autohotkey just asked too much, I am afraid. So far goes my imagination.
So thank you all lords of heaven, earth and beyond, I will keep this little champ a little longer and enjoy his caprices.
Cheers
July 2, 2016 at 8:36 am #42460I also had this problem after shutting my tablet down with a long press of the powerbutton. I fixed the static noise with deactivating all sound effects in speaker settings.
July 2, 2016 at 9:12 am #42461I’ve had the same issue a couple of times. When it happens, I turn the volume down to zero to stop the noise, so I reckon it’s something like the sound card hardware and driver not working together properly. Mine went away after a reboot or two. Then it happened again and was fixed after another reboot. I had Autohotkey installed throughout, so I don’t know if that’s causing it or not, but it seems to be working most of the time.
July 2, 2016 at 1:44 pm #42481Does the noise appear after rebooting from Android?
In windows, just unistall sound drivers. Reboot and install original sound drivers again.

Same problem here. In windows and in Android too … Turn off sounds helped, but when you watch Youtube or soundcloud etc… there is still static noise.
July 3, 2016 at 9:20 am #42536Static noise is back 🙁 so Autohotkey had nothing to do with it. Sound enhancer as well, as I had uninstalled that software too.
@Yo: How can I install sound drivers again when I have them deleted? I do not see any option where to get them
July 3, 2016 at 9:35 am #42537Windows, device manager, go to unknown device, mouse right button, update driver, search on your computer for driver, install.
You have to download drivers from chuwi.
September 17, 2016 at 6:01 pm #50020Hi there!
Same problem here. It appeared just suddenly when I booted from Android to W10.
@justinkeyback did you manage to get it fixed? It is very annoying!Do you know where I can get the drivers from Chuwi? I can’t find any reliable source.
Thanks a lot in advance guys!

September 17, 2016 at 7:00 pm #50026Don’t know about drivers. You will not be troubled with the noise when you put the Chuwi OFF and then boot W10, just don’t start-up W10 from Android.

Some news about solution?
I like this tablet but that sounds killing me … Its is so annoying.
For any solution I will be very thankful.
I have problem in both system, clean restart does not help … reinstall driver does not help …
Maybe some harware repair?
September 23, 2016 at 9:22 am #50459Hi,
I only expirience this on right speaker. And only when switching from android to W10.
Solution is to power off and start w10. NOT restart.
Greetings

It is not working. I never used reboot options, every time i Power Off one system and Power On tablet and choose system. Noise is still here. In both systems.
November 14, 2016 at 12:04 pm #56911Any fixes here?

August 23, 2017 at 6:35 am #70880Hello
I just got my chuwi hi12 few weeks back. It was working fine and even ran the automatic update and is now waiting for creators edition. So far loved the tablet. But today morning, when I turned it on, had my USB mouse plugged in and gave this loud static noise n the R speaker. Thought it was the mouse but then I realized every time t played sounds it gave static noise.
So, I looked around for solutions and finally uninstalled the intel SSD driver and like an idiot uninstalled the Es8316Aud coded which was also in the sound driver.
I was searching online for the drivers and finally found the drivers on chuwi forum (http://forum.chuwi.com/thread-1160-1-1.html)
And I downloaded the driver:http://www.mediafire.com/file/5u … Hi12_Driver_X64.rar
This has all the drivers. I unzipped it. Then went to the device manager and right clicked on the driver that had an unknown sign and selected update it from the hard drive and gave the folder location of the downloaded drivers. It automatically installed all the drivers and after rebooting
Wola…. Sound works fine. his issue is because of the windows update failing to update the sound or something.
his worked for me. if not last option is t simply reset windows keeping your personal files.
